So many stories like these, we all know many who did same or are still doing it. It works because people without symptoms aren’t getting tested constantly. Every new positive result from a student, teacher, or athlete would be in the news daily like we’re seeing now.

If a city has been a one party system for decades and it is a crappy place to live with high crime and poor schools why would anyone keep voting the same party in office all the time. The one party is keeping the people of that community down. Danbury canceling sports is just an example of this. Politicians are hurting the children in the community by cutting opportunities.
The families with money can afford other opportunities that many athletes in public schools can’t. Danbury is just widening the divide.

Healthy people should not be tested.

Soccer
Whole thing is political nonsense. Hs teams have been playing soccer twice a week for the past two months without any issues and playing teams from All over the place. Plus most kids have played club all summer too. To pretend soccer is going to add to any spread is crazy. School is way more of a risk than soccer. Ciac cancels and almost every kid plays club plus cjsa runs their own hs league which basically continues the summer league.

UPDATE!
No decisions made at the virtual meeting between CIAC and Dept of Health.
DPH remains firm that schools reopen first before fall sports begin!
