Yes that's very fair to the hundreds of non club players out there, or the football players thst don't play club anything. Club may or may not happen if school sports get scrapped.
Up to the state to decide. Town and school fields may not be accessible.

Club is happening now, so I’m not sure why they would have to stop because of high school issues. Also, families pay for club- so yes it is fair. You want your kid to play then shell out the money and join a club.

Because town residents whose kids don't get to play HS sports will cry unfair. Other town residents won't want outside groups possibly bringing it in. Summer soccer is very limited compared to fall ball. Even if school or town fields were an issue in the summer, there's more available solutions. In the fall many teams may be scrambling for a place to play.

Not the clubs with their own fields.

Mine too. Cancel culture. Danbury's mayor is an idiot.

HS sports will not be canceled
Youth sports will not be canceled
A few towns like Danbury might cancel because they wish to continue to oppress the poor and people of color because they can. This means more affluent towns with educated citizens that are middle class or above would band together to stop such foolish behavior.

My wife said sports and fields turned into a "spirited' debate in the local Moms Of _____ FB page. She said there's definitely a group of families who think there should be no sports, school or otherwise. When she pointed our kids have been playing soccer and basketball all summer people were flabbergasted.

Daughter played lax all summer, practice 2x a week games every weekend. Zero issues. She is a 2021 so I was thankful, committed to the college of her choice because she was able to play this summer. Fear mongers suck it...

FSA, CFC, OW can all do their own thing this fall. Unless the governor drastically cuts back the phased reopening, which there’s no reason to do based on our metrics.

Towns can make their own decisions as is their right, but private clubs are good to go.

No need to make it political. Cities have different problems - they have more cases, there's greater use of public transportation, multi unit housing, larger minority populations and a school population that really needs to be in school (there's data showing less affluent students are falling behind at a fast rate + working class parents that can't afford nannies or to form mini school pods like parents in affluent towns are doing).

Ok thats 3 clubs. Wow. CFC has multiple branches that can't begin to fit @ Bethany. Most private schools have cancelled sports so they may be willing to rent.

Right. So why waste weeks of this HS bull****. Let’s get a club season together.
