It would be a gift if parents could not attend games. They stir the pot are bad sports and heckle kids. At our school there is a dad who vapes at games ( school allows ) organizes the pre game bar scene and sexually harasses the moms.

Not necessarily. The DOH recommendation was pretty clear, move Football and volleyball to Spring and keep others as is. That’s exactly what the Football board wanted anyway. Colleges are a different animal and are irrelevant in CT HS decision making.

Just want to make sure. The kids you are concerned about. Are the all sheltering in place or are you allowing them out the house. Doesn’t the risk exist today? If sports and school are cancelled/online, all those kids aren’t going to be doing something else outside the house that will increase the risk?

Let’s say one kid gets Covid on any one team after playing against another in their “league”. Do both teams quarantine for two weeks thereafter?

It should be irrelevant because like you said colleges face very different issues. But then there's perceptions - non athlete families know colleges have canceled sports. It's understandable they question the need for HS athletics when we're worried about school happening at all
