seems to me there is more excitement in trying to be different. There’s a time for that, but not at the risk of your own health. If hundreds of millions have been vaccinated and are unaffected what exactly is a logical reason not to. Your outlier status works against you when you do catch a case. Another thing i find interesting. All these NFL player who are vaccinated and have protocals and facilities that are cleaned hourly are showing up covid positive this week. Either they didnt get the vaccine like they said they did, or there is literally no hope for anyone to get not get Covid. I have gone to work everyday except the month and half CT outlawed it. I dont wear a mask at work. The cleaning people suck at my building. My kid is in college and except for one semester when they shut down when covid initially hit, she was on campus playing sports. She never got covid. My wife never got covid and neither did I.

Hey dumb azz - in case you didn't get it the first 1000 times you've been told, being vaccinated doesn't stop you from getting Covid. It stops you from getting seriously, hospitalized or dying. Shocker that athletes in close quarters might spread a highly infectious disease to one another. Let us know when a vaccinated NFL player dies from it ok?

Another thing you missed in the news...more treatments ARE available including and new and very effective anti viral by local Pfizer. Many just aren't widely available yet but will be soon.

We will never get rid of Covid altogether but between vaccinations, boosters and treatments we will be better equipped to manage it. Flu vaccinations and flu antivirals also essential several illnesses and save lives and no one blinks at those. However Covid is a more severe illness than flu and for the near term still has to be battled (at least current versions; mutations might be more mild, or possibly more severe. Mutations are hard to predict).
