Did you see the pictures deemed racist? Because they actually were this time. I often have my BS meter on but I agree these drawings were inappropriate in today's society. Now, could they have changed the pictures and still published the books? Maybe depending on if the family would agree, or what the contract states. But as the poster said they were not big sellers. The guy has 60 titles out there and they're not all beloved "classics".

This is just not the issue the right is trying to make it - the same group that had freedom fries, banished the Dixie Chicks and Colin Kaperneck, boycotted NASCAR for getting rid of the confederate flag....and that's just a few of the more recent ones. There's much more. The left does it too, what varies are both sides' reasonings behind it.

Have you read Huck Finn since 6th grade? It's a little questionable in parts but since most kids read it in MS or HS it's easy to then have a discussion around race, racism and how the portrayal of backs have changed since it was written. Dr. Seuss and pre schoolers not so much. Does a pre-schooler even notice the couple of pictures? Probably not. Someone mentioned maybe they could have changed the offending pictures, maybe it wasn't allowed. But really, it's just not a big thing. They weren't big sellers and won't be missed. He had loads of other books you've probably never heard of either, like 4 dozen or so.

The poster quesitoned the move, not so much a snowflake. There's many examples of cringeworthy cultural stereotyping from back in the day but that doesn't mean we should keep them around. Hollywood also used to cast white actors to play Asian and other minority roles - studios catch holy hell for doing stuff like that now.

Forced vaccination is a no no.

It's a "complaint" that Israel is "conducting medical experiments" on citizens with Pfizer. It's an internationally tested vaccine with proven efficacy. There are now multiple vaccines people can take. Israel is not forcing vaccinations on anyone but is making it very clear those who are vaccinated will be able to do many more things than the unvaccinated and will have some kind of passport system. So, good luck with that. It should come up for review in five years or so? And why take it the The Hague rather than try and halt it in the Israeli courts first? Publicity.
