You don't need to know anything about security to know that would be stupid and the opposite of "security".

3 Pro-cyclical fiscal policies in Great Depression
4 Vietnam War
5 COVID response
Covid response......then you must mean the whole world and not just the US. If you are just looking at the US, it isnt that bad. A lot of old sick people died. On the flip side, we had the fastest roll out of a vaccine (with a new technology) in US history.
Slavery, then again you must mean the whole world. They were at it long before the US was. We should have never brought slaves in. I agree we would be much better off today.
I would have added the destabilization of the middle east and the failure to acknowledge and deal with the Arab Spring. Bush started it, but Obama made it a mess because he lacked a foreign policy. Serious. Describe his foreign policy. You can't. Trumps? you may not like it, but his was clear, America first and avoid costly wars. Reagan...Roll back communism. Clinton didn't need one. Bush had the Bush doctrine. Confront terrorists abroad. Biden...who knows....his policy seems like the lets be friends policy. Only problem is a lot of people dont want to be friends

Fun fact: Israel now has far more people vaccinated than anywhere else in the world.
Israel now also has more new positive Covid tests per-capita than any other country in the world.
Which is weird, but stuff happens, amirite?
I would say at this point even if Israeli cases and hospitalizations DO start to roll immediately, like today, unless they drop very fast it will be hard to give vaccines credit, since the country is deep enough into the Farr's Law curve that it SHOULD be dropping already
They will get the credit either way, though. Right now the media outside Israel is just ignoring the data - a practice it has learned from a year of ignoring difficult data about the uselessness of masks, lockdowns, et al.

The US has smart scientists, inventors, risk-takers, but only has a locally organized health system (call it thousands of fiefdoms). We also had plenty of missed opportunities to organize around bulk buys of supplies involved in vaccination and instead pushed it down to the states to compete against each other to source syringes, needles, etc. The Army would never send troops in with a gun and ask them to source Ammo and food in-country. Why did we only go half-way? I guarantee someone made a lot of money on that decision. That corruption will come out.
