What would the election results have been if this information was released at the end of October as was predicted by Pfizer's CEO and the market shot up to record highs and if the media vetted the Hunter laptop story? Much different.
Credit goes to the scientists around the world, not to DJT. It's very encouraging but the data still has to be peer reviewed, as does the safety data which isnt' available yet.

that said, don't pop the champagne yet. We know many have already said they won't get it. This vax requires two rounds and many won't be bothered to get the 2nd one. I know at least one of the others only requires one round. Finally, the intial rollout has to be managed by the Trump administration. Not only are they incompetent but they're checked out. We've got long way to go

The company had planned the announcement well ahead of the election results

The great thing about this vaccine is that if you want to be protected you get it. if you dont want to be protected dont get it. Society wont be bothered after the vaccine is available to everyone who wants it. If someone decides not to get it and dies or gets very sick than society is no longer responsible for that person.

There is on caveat to that is if the immunity is not long term than we are all screwed anyways.

Great ... wait until Biden raises the corporate tax rate again .... i wonder if they would have done things a little differently.

That has been the Trump logic forever. Taking credit for things he has even tried to discredit. Biden will now get credit for the vaccine. The incredible number of jobs he will create in his first 100 days in office. The incredible bounce the economy will see for the next four quarters. Record breaking S&P after his election to president. He will probably win the nobel prize for economics next year along with the Noble peace prize that Trump won twice. Imagine if one more Middle East country becomes friendly with Israel. Biden will be a hero to everyone.

The middle class tax cut will expire at some point. everyone's taxes will go up dramatically.

Getting rid of the day of death stepped up cost basis is going to slap wealthy democrats in the face. If you are going to die, you got 2 months to do it otherwise your family money is going to the government

Biden's plan is to raise taxes for those making >$400K from 37% to 39.6%. If you make $500K you're paying an extra $15.5K. Wah wah wah. They can afford it. His proposal for corporate taxes it raise it from 21% to 28% (Trump lowered it from 35%). They can afford it. WE CANNOT AFFORD to continue on our current financial trajectory.

And unless the Dems win the Senate no doubt the GOP will block it. A compromise can be reached IF both sides finally talk to one another and "compromisE" isn't a dirty word

when in the history of the Fn planet has a tax increase on the wealthy not hurt the working man?
the poor dont pay taxes so i doesnt matter to them either way
the rich can afford to hide behind all manner of accounting (thats not to say they dont pay ,but they arent going to give it away)
guess who is left-yep a lot of hard working people who dont make anywhere near 400K

Note the date: October 27th, and pay close attention to the 2nd paragraph

(Reuters) - Drugmaker Pfizer Inc PFE.N said on Tuesday it does not yet have data from the late-stage trial of the COVID-19 vaccine it is developing with Germany's BioNTech SE 22UAy.F, and provided a timeline that makes its release unlikely ahead of the Nov. 3 U.S. presidential election.Pfizer said there had not yet been enough infections in the 44,000-volunteer trial to trigger an analysis of whether or not the vaccine works. An independent panel will conduct the first analysis when it reaches 32 infections.

Chief Executive Albert Bourla said after it has enough data for the analysis, it typically takes 5 to 7 days before the company can publicly release the data, meaning it is likely to happen after the election. U.S. President Donald Trump had said a vaccine could be available before the Nov. 3 election, but in recent weeks his administration has emphasized that one will be ready this year.

Bourla has previously said the company could release data on whether or not the vaccine works as early as this month. “For us, the election is an artificial milestone,” Bourla said on a conference call for the company’s earnings. “This is going to be not a Republican vaccine or a Democrat vaccine. It will be a vaccine for the citizens of the world.”

one of those suckers that think a tax cut for the rich with trickle down to the rest lol.

re-read it: Biden will NOT raise taxes UNLESS you make OVER $400K. In CT the median income is $87K. No change for a person making that amount (assuming Biden gets what he wants passed). Nor for someone making $150K or $200K or $389K

Biden's plan to save the Snowflakes:

                              1) Increase taxes during a pandemic (exact opposite of what should be done)
                              2) Wear a mask to squelch the virus (which everyone is already and has been doing for months)

                              Brilliant!
