This woman selects thousands of kids over various age groups for a span of years. US soccer seems happy/content with her selections or would relieve her of her duty. Her daughter represents one spot out of thousands so the problem is statistically irrelevant. You have also failed to prove that she is unworthy. If the daughter was egregiously bad, US Soccer would begin to question the mothers abilities to select kids. Cronyism can only go so far. Coaches and other officials provide feedback to verify or refute the quality of someone’s selections. Finally, there is no law governing the selection process or ethics of this situation. There is no violation to legally argue against except your own personal feelings, which again carry zero legal weight. This is sour grapes through and through.

Funny, I just looked up Mrs. Drake’s daughter and as a Freshman at a P5 School that made the NCAA tournament, she has logged time in every as 5’3” defender.
So this guy is mad that she was ID’ed and never made the USYNT? Big f-n deal. Based on the fact she is actually playing on the field at a major P5 school tells me she was certainly worthy. Them grapes are sour, my goodness.
Now, what I am curious about is the daughter’s friend. There is one other Freshman at South Carolina from Virginia. She was also the Gatorade High School Player of the Year for Virginia. That would kinda shoot a hole in the OP’s narrative, lol.
Or maybe it’s all just a big conspiracy and Diane Drake has control over South Carolina, who they put on the team and who gets playing time.
BTW, Drake is responsible for just about all of Region 1. I’ve only been paying attention to invites for a couple years but there are always players that don’t necessarily deserve the invite but are chosen for other reasons.

Definitely feels like Mommy threw her kid a bone, hey it happens. Did it take a spot away from someone who probably deserved it more? Of course! But like you said, there's always some that get the invite that don't deserve it. Mommy Drake isn't the first to do it and won't be the last. At least the kid was a decent enough player that it wasn't totally egregious. I know 2 players that got invites to NTC (back when they were like 15) because the scout was trying to get a job with the club and got a bunch of players invites sight unseen, based on the coaches recommendation. Coach of the 2 players had only been coach for a few weeks and offered the 2 he liked the best-definitely not the best 2 on the team, but hey he liked them. Fast forward to today, both Freshman in college-one is playing on a mid-level D2 team and the other is riding the bench at a low level (NEC) D1. Like I said...it happens!

So first off, Drake only ID’s regional, after that recommendations for regional camp is by small committee. Then comes National camp which is invite and agreement by all involved. The daughter was only invited to the online CoVid camp which had many more invites than the standard. I honestly do not think there was any foul play with the daughter. But for the friend, yeah, I’m curious. Where is she now? If she is at some DIII school and riding the pine, then yeah, certainly suspect. Previous poster said she is a Gamecock too though, but I don’t see her on the roster unless it is the Mclean/Union player. I dunno.

This doesn’t surprise me at all. General impression of the club that is associated with this is it has success but is ethically challenged and toxic.
I’m sure they market that this as a benefit of being part of the club. But when their attempts to get back into ecnl are denied, then they claim that the league is corrupt. Irony at its finest.
