Curious as to why no JV Boys at St. Pete High

Being new to Pinellas County, I was surprised to learn that there is no JV team at St. Pete High for Boys, while there is one for Girls, and while there are clearly many Boys who would like to play JV soccer at SPHS.

Any context and explanations are most welcome.
