So which HS SOCCER class is better 5A,4A,3A,2A, OR 1A???
Does 5A equate to DI, 4A equate to DII, 3A equate to DIII,.....?????
I would not equate them as such, but 5A / 4A does have the opportunity to harness top talent and create a deep bench just due to size, but many at the smallest schools also fit that as they are often private schools where the money and coaching is...

1A private school Saint John's Country Day School girls team could beat any 5A school simply because of all the recruiting they do. Every year they have players transferring in that are already committed to top college programs.

FHSAA does not allow sports recruiting. New incoming students must sign a statement saying they were not recruited. If it can be proven they were recruited, the school will forfeit all games in which the player(s) participated. Schools like Montverde Academy and IMG are allowed to recruit because they don't participate in the high school playoffs.
Have you watched HS Soccer ? A quality U16 Club team should easily beat the best HS soccer team in your area.
Nothing but testosterone and kick ball
As far as girls (no testosterone. There that I'm aware of. LOL) most high school teams are poor and the discrepancy between the good and all else is vast. However, there are a few high school teams that are very good. Bishop Moore, for example, has five or six ECNL players and another six or seven very high level club players. They are 2A and beat handily Oviedo (one of 4A state favorites) 3-0, Lake Mary (very good 4A state team) 6-0 and Lake Nona (one of the best 3A teams in the state) 3-1. They also beat West Orange (5A and one their district regular-season) 8-0. However, lost to the "recruiting" school Montverde 3-2

you obviously need to look harder some of those girls defiantly have Testosterone
The club level talent is spread out among high schools and few schools have complete teams.
High school coaches in most cases are baby sitters not true trainers. Some are but most aren't.

When it comes to girls soccer...that does not equate at all. Schools are reclassified every two years based on number of students and number of schools that field that sport. Some of the best schools are in the lower divisions. Community schools near a good club program or private schools which draw from all over seem to be the best, no matter what classification.

Example is Robinson High in Tampa, very easy Class, but they have WFF and TBU right in their backyard.

Really, So private schools don't offer tuition assistance to athletes ? LOL
Large successful schools don't need to offer anything to "recruits" as they are going for the exposure !

Newsome, Riverview and Bloomingdale all having great years due to the high number of top level club players. Not your normal USA, CDL players but more of your FSPL, R3 kids that chose to skip HS in the past... good to see them playing for school colors again

St. Petersburg High will be in this group next year on the girls side. There is a bumper class of Freshman coming in next year that includes several FSPL/NPL/ECNL girls to join an already strong core of returning girls. Boys team is already there!
