Congrats to the 5 teams that won state championships. 6A- Varela, 5A Auburndale, 4A Nease, 3A American Heritage Plantation and 2A Tampa Prep. Now that the season is over and everything is said and done, I have a question for you. Which are the teams that are going to be good next year, not only based on this season, but on how many players are returning from this years squad? Let's see what you have to say.

i hear that both american heritage teams are young and have many starters coming back. krop, who lost in regional final, has seven starters returning. watch out for ferguson as they have a talented team that is very young but they are in a tough district.

Regarding 2A, 3 of the 4 Semi-finalists should challenge next season.
*American Heritage graduates 2 studs, #9 in the midfield who's going to UCF and probably their best player and only defender, #4. They still have plenty of firepower, though.
*Tampa Prep loses #7 Zach Taylor as well as #10, but retains super-studs Ryan Griffins and their GK. Their best player in the Final was Freshman #11.
*Orangewood graduates only 1 starter. #10 Alan Gendreau returns for his senior year after scoring 46 this year.

merritt island loses their keeper, whole defense, and two center mids, they return their whole offense, as in outside mids and forwards, should be very good again next year
