Is this a misprint? If true, that is a beat down!

How does a championship game be that lopsided? I believe that this is the most lopsided score that I have ever heard of in state title game.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not. Yes, the 5 to 0 score is factual, and the truth is that the game was not even that close. The game could have been an 8 to 0 skunk. St. Thomas Aquinas put on a superb exposition of controlled passing and ball skill all night. Vero only mostly could watch, and had possession of the ball maybe 15% of the time. Any team that plays that strong skill and possession style of soccer deserves to win, and win they did.

Beat down maybe, but St. Thomas Aquinas is an athletic university for high school age kids with lots of $ and can recruit the best players from everywhere, unlike public high schools that have district zone limits. Don't you think 13 titles is lop sided?

DO not forget STA almost did not make finals match. 1-0 win vs Ferguson & overtime 1-0 win vs FSP. They played well and Vero didn't. PH would have been better matchup. Give credit to Vero, they are very young and did not have 2 best soccer players from school playing this year

I give Vero credit for actually playing soccer and not putting all of their players in front of the net and playing a strictly defensive game, stacking the back. The low scoring games against St. Thomas are usually because that is the only way most teams can keep them from scoring.

Your Post is uncalled for. I am sure the Vero Team Played the best they could and gve 100% until the game was over.
