    Jesuit High School

Well, Jesuit are regional champs once again with their 2-1 overtime victory over palmetto last night. Do you think they are going to win states this time around?

Not if they play the way they played last night. hey played way down to the competition. Technically and physically superior, they looked like they were playing in slow motion.

They better find a higher gear, or they are going to get crushed.

Palmetto was playing at home in front of a large, rowdy crowd. They're a young, physical, fast squad with a minimum of polish...not a bad team. They were super-hyped with adrenaline and very aggressive until they ran themselves into the ground. Their forwards were gassed at the end of the first half. They got EVERY call from the refs (some that were inexplicable). Palmetto's goal at the end of the first half was questionable (player headed the ball out of the keeper's hands after the keeper had possession). The Jesuit defense calmly weathered the storm and Jesuit completely dominated the second half. Palmetto's posessions usually lasted for two, maybe three touches. The difference in the game was touch. Jesuit had it, Palmetto didn't. End Of Story.

p.s. Kudos to Palmetto's FRESHMAN keeper. He was a very busy young man, and had a great game.

Aren't most of the HS players? This belongs on the HS forum. That's what it's there for.

Yes, please move this to HS forum. We wouldn't want the pious, soccer gods on this site to read about the kids ENJOYING soccer. HS soccer allows these kids to play before the largest crowds they will ever enjoy, instead of a few parents and soccer nazis on this sidelines! Is it the highest level, no...but do the kids enjoy playing in front of there peers and crowds....ask them!

I agree as a high school and club player with what you said, and that it is more fun, however, this forum is for club soccer so please only post about club. It is not a matter of what is better
