Enough on this - you all made your point and hopefully 'something' constructive or good can come from this silly back and forth and we can all learn from it. Use this site for something meaningful and be done with this item.

I read the full string of comments here. I did some homework based on the 'original question in this string', as it made me curious. Statistically EB is 13-1-2 and that record included wins over Winter Haven and Berkley Prep, and ties to Bloomingdale and Newsome. All teams ranked relatively high in the state rankings. I also saw a comment about a 5-0 loss to Melbourne. Based on these other scores and other games, I believe it would not be too smart to overlook this team as any team can have a bad game. You also never know the circumstances behind any loss - missing players, injuries, and illnesses for any one game. I also believe this game was over XMAS break so... I personally would not read much into that one game from what I see.

So all of you please get off the egotistical comments and move on. I've seen this team play and if you think they are a push over, you are mistaken!

As far as parents - hopefully these comments will be taken constructively and things can calm down. All parents at MANY highschool games act the same - some worse then others (even the good ones pop at times) - we just only see the ones at the games we are at. There are many of them out there!

Remember this is a game for the kids and they are doing there best. I've noticed that the verbal attacks are USUALLY directed to the REFS and not the kids(right or wrong for the REFS). I would be happy just seeing more consistency game to game in the way they are called, BECAUSE THAT is what sets the parents off at these games!
who is winter haven?? never heard of them in 5 years- the supposed state rankings are a joke
and is berk. prep even good.. isnt eb a 6a school- cant they beat 6a teams that are tough so they need to drop classes?

You are amazing - do you have ANYTHING NICE TO SAY? - need to have the last word? - respond to this and the YOU CAN SAY YOU HAD IT. Is anyone as good as you and your team?- I never caught what team you represent??? - keeping it quiet I guess to stay away from the back lashing that the others on this site will probably give you? You obviously feel YOUR TEAM IS THE BEST and you teams parents do no wrong- you have a lot to say about others but hide nicely but you really say nothing or have anything relavent to say!!. I simply supplied statistics that were asked for. I could care less about evaluating this team or degrading them like you have. Enjoy your EGO, maybe you'll share what school you seem to represent (then again they may be embassased by you - just like you commented on East Bay) - I am done conversing with you.

Well I'm another independent observer, and the problem that I have with the East Bay camp is that they come on here extolling their own virtues. Yes, they are a very tough team, and they have achieved some very nice results this year, but they should be a little more humble.

Bloomingdale, Newsome, Freedom and Hillsborough have also had nice seasons, but you don't see a slew of threads started by their supporters telling everybody on this board how great they are.

They let their play do the talking.

I agree with most of that but I believe looking back, the thread was not begun by supporters, but rather East Bay parent bashers. I believe that team is showing themselves to be strong in charachter and skill and will be formidable through districts and regions but do not measure their character from parent support. I believe their play is indeed speaking for itself as you suggest it should.

Thanks and enough said on this one for me.

not sure what you replied to, but, my question was legitimate-- good teams dont justify their abilities by beating teams, especially those with poor history. would have been better to justify by your tough schedule / tournament- and how you improve your team scores/ or shutouts...

and I dont live near you so I dont have any idea of your parents/players- only that you might want to play somme tough 6A teams to prove yourself against the big dogs

You, actually, you do seem to know that team based on your comments /"questions". So why answer and post since you already know.
If you want scores, they're in a few places, like in the sticky post up top for scores, for one.

You've come to the wrong place for "good soccer talk", especially on this thread.

San Diego. All the EB players have private planes to take them to their various club practices.

Out of the eleven starters, 7 play for South Hillsborough (including the keeper),3 play for Valrico and 1 doesn't play club.
