And these are based from last years results and have nothing to do with this year . LoL is not that good and I hope they don't think this years team got them ranked ? Once these seniors leave this year the team is garbage .

People have said that about LOL in the past. They only have 4 seniors starting this year and many of the underclassmen are getting quality minutes too. You don't have the success they have had (for more than a decade) without knowing what you are doing. My money is on them.

I like how a third of these teams from FL are from the Tampa Bay area.
Speaks well for the soccer here.

Why is there so much hatred towards LOL on this board?

Unfortunately no one likes Mark Pearson as he is a stuck-up *** that thinks he's the main reason LOL has had success in the past. The success they have had is attibuted to the great fortunes of having quality players who were trained elsewhere and playing Pasco County teams and beating the snot out of them all of the time. However they've typically have lost when it matters most because Mark's weaknesses are exposed as a field general....soon all of the talent will be spread out to the other area schools Sun Lake, Wiregrass, and even the new Lutz High School some cases...many folks have applied for special scholastic reassignments so they could attend LOL to play sports. Figure out how many of the current players really belong to that schools zone and where they should really be going???

Last year they were upset 1-0 at home in the Regional Qtr. The same season they won their 4th district champions in a row and the prestigious Admiral Tournament. Just because you get upset in a regional qtr., does that mean you can't coach? Maybe the players had some fault in that too?

There can be no doubt that Class 5A is the strongest, most competitive class in the state of Florida. Look at the rankings and there are four top teams in the same classification. East Lake, Jesuit, Land O' Lakes, George Jenkins. This has to be the "class of death" good luck to all as districts start next week.

After this season LoL is weak . Wait and see next year . Say what you will folks , but the goalie and the frosh and sophs on this team are very very weak . If it weren't for the upperclassmen on this team , this team would be garbage .

And if there isn't something going on , then why are 2 LoLs qbs leaving for new schools to play football ? Somethings going on in this district ? Weatherford the starter and this years back up . TIME WILL TELL AND YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST . Not to mention illegal play can cost your kid a year of not playing for the high school .

LOL high school news . Football first and soccer will be next .

Looks like Land O'Lakes will have plenty to sort out during spring football.

The Gators were dealt a double whammy when coaches learned they lost first- and second-string sophomore quarterbacks Stevie Weatherford and Tanner Stocker. Both have decided to transfer.

Weatherford, one of six Weatherfords to play football at Land O'Lakes, had not enrolled anywhere as of Tuesday. Older brother, state Rep. Will Weatherford, said the decision to leave Land O'Lakes was made by family and had nothing to do with football.

"He is not going back to Land O'Lakes this semester," Will Weatherford said. "We're in the process of getting him enrolled."

Stevie Weatherford threw for 1,254 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions before breaking his left collarbone in a 20-16 win over Ridgewood on Nov. 7, ending his season.

Land O'Lakes coach John Benedetto had guided five Weatherfords through their high school careers to football scholarships, including Florida State quarterback Drew and UCF quarterback Joe.

Benedetto had made passing references about staying around long enough to see Stevie through his final season at the end of 2010.

"Both of our quarterbacks are gone," Benedetto said. "… I feel like I'm on a sinking ship and all the lifeboats have already left. I'm speechless about the whole thing. It's beyond anything I've experienced at Land O'Lakes High School."

Stocker, who played a reserve role before replacing Weatherford, has transferred to Wharton. He threw for 115 yards and two touchdowns in five games.

Wharton coach David Mitchell said he has met with Stocker, who has started offseason conditioning. Stocker will compete with sophomore Ryan Hatter to replace senior Andrew Clifford.

"He's a quarterback and he'll have to battle," Mitchell said. "We'll see how it goes."

YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS. THE "LUTZ" HS YOU ARE REFERRING TO IS STEINBRENNER HS. THAT HS IS IN HILLS. CO. NOT PASCO CO.
NONE OF OUR PLAYERS LIVE IN HILLS. CO. THEY ALL LIVE IN PASCO CO. THE SCHOLASTIC ASSIGNMENTS YOUR TALKING ABOUT ARE OUR IB PLAYERS. OUR SCHOOL IS NOT LOSING THE IB PROGRAM, SO THEY WILL ALL RETURN.

AS FOR WHO WE PLAY MUCH OF THAT IS NOT DECIDED BY US. HOWEVER, COACH P GETS US IN THE MOST COMPETITIVE TOURNAMENTS THAT HE CAN, THAT FITS INTO OUR CLUB SCHEDULES. OUR SCHOOL WOULDN'T LET US PLAY ANY MORE GAMES THIS YEAR DUE TO THE BUDGET CUT BACKS. SO WHO ELSE ARE WE TO PLAY? WE HAVE TO PLAY OUR DISTRICT AND CONFERENCE GAMES.

AS FOR LAST YEAR AND LOSING TO FREEDOM IT'S TRUE. THEY BEAT US. WE WERE FAVORITES AND WE LOST. WE WILL TRY AGAIN THIS YEAR THAT IS ALL WE CAN DO.

YOU CALL COACH STUCK UP, BUT YOU CLEARLY DON'T KNOW HIM. HE IS THE FIRST ONE TO TELL US HOW HARD WE NEED TO WORK. BY THE WAY, THOSE QUALITY PLAYERS THAT WERE TRAINED ELSEWHERE WERE TRAINED BY COACH P. ALL THE CLUB PLAYERS THAT HE HAD TEN YEARS AGO WERE HIS PLAYERS AT NORTHDALE. IVE SEEN THE PICTURES IN HIS ROOM. IT HAS ONLY BEEN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS (SINCE HE STARTED COACHING HIS OWN SON IN THE HCU ACADEMY) THAT HE HAS NOT COACHED CLUB SOCCER U17 AND UP.

WHOEVER, POST THIS IGNORANT RESPONSE NEEDS TO GET A CLUE AND LEAVE OUR COACH AND PROGRAM ALONE.

I CAN'T WAIT TILL THE SCHOOL BOARD SENDS THESE KIDS TO THE NEW SCHOOLS THEY SHOULD RESIDE IN . THERE WILL BE NO MORE SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS AND THE SCHOOL BOARD SAYS "NOBODY" WILL BE GRANDFATHERED IN STARTING NEXT YEAR . LETTERS WILL BE GOING OUT TO THE FAMILIES VERY SOON . WHY DO YOU THINK YOUR FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE ALREADY MAKING MOVES ?? IT'S ABOUT TIME THE SCHOOL BOARD TAKES A STAND !
