Taylor Pierson is not a good team. I don't care how good they look. When so and so said they make it to regionals on numerous occasions, they only make it to the first round. In 2004 they lost in the regional quartrer finals to Trinity Catholic 3-0. In 2005 they made it to the regional quarter finals and lost to P.K. Yonge 2-1. This past season they did not even make it out of districts. So if you want to argue that they are a prospectful team this season, then you need to think again and look at the facts.

As the coach of the Taylor team I know for a fact that nobody who has posted thus far is from Taylor. I stumbled upon this when another coach sent me the link. All you doubters . . . you're right. Consider us nobody until we go somewhere again. As for history though, Taylor has made it to the final four. Keystone went to regional finals last year. Are we a strong district? Not really. But check the stats on the fhsaa site and you'll see that we're not a district that gets beaten badly in regionals (that Trinity score was 3-1 by the way, not that it matters).

I didn't include my main point . . . like the person who started this strand, I would like to hear about what's going on in 3A this year. That's why I checked out the site . . . to see what's up. Not to read about how badly we suck . . . though that may be more entertaining to read.

We're not talking about the district or how hard it is. The person who mentioned that name just said, "I hear Taylor is pretty good this year." They didn't say," I hear district that Taylor's in is a hard one." So quit trying to proove that Taylor is a good team. Do you know how many garbage teams make it to the regioinal quarter finals every year. There are some districts with 3 or less teams, so how can you say that they deserve to be in regionals. Oh ya, if you think Taylor is so stellar then tell me what year they went to the fianl four. And just for the record, Taylor did lose 3-0 to Trinity Catholic, go check the fhsaa wbsite for yourself!

And coach in soccer 3-0 is not a close game.

Considering the amount of students 5A and 6A have to choose from as opposed to 2A and 3A, I'd say CCC gave Palm Harbor one heck of a game. 2-1 is hardly a blowout! By the way, Palm Harbor did not lose half of their starters.[/quot
I never said they were blownout. I stated clearly that a top 3A team and couldn't beat a top 5 or 6A team and I used an average 5A team as an example. I keep seeing comments that these 2A,3A and 4A teams can beat the top 5 or 6A teams and they can't. I agree that the size of the school is a huge part of it but that doesn't change the fact that the best teams are the bigger schools.

These two teams have always given each other a good game. CCC's even beaten them, with all their studs on the field. The girls on these teams are friends with each other from club, and both coaches are good guys that do a great job with HS soccer. I don't think you'll find any animosity between the two teams, but respect.
