Leading Goal Scorers in Florida

The fact remains that state scoring stats are meaningless. If everyone played the same schools it would mean something, but with the difference in the quality of soccer around the state, and the differing philosophy of HS coaches, high scoring statewide says nothing. The high scorer on a top team means much more and that player's stats could not be in the top 20 statewide. Those teams usually come fron an area with tougher soccer and look for tougher out of district competition and therefor have lower scoring games. They also usually have smarter coaches that don't let the same players score all the goals and try to develop the team in high scoring games.

I know a coach that counts all his players classic goals in their stats--- those are scrimmages and dont count-- no one does anything about it

their team is a smaller class and has the highest goal scorers in our county- but their team can never beat any of the teams in our county!!!

Most of the coaches do that.

What class/district are you? I don't know any that do that? Most give totals for players on their stats and that total has to equal the total for the team.

supposed to, but when they voted for all - state and and all county- the stats were not correct and never correct for the year one player graduated who was competing for leading goals
