Should be another interesting Regional tournament!

Field condition/location could play a role in the matches. I know Lakeland performs markedly better at home than on the road, and apparently SJCD prefers to play on the middle school field (rather than the varsity field) due to the small playing surface supporting their style of play. It will be interesting to see the result of the Taylor/SJCD game. I've not been to Taylor and wonder how the pitch there will impact SJCD. Either way, I expect that to be a very close one. I don't know anything about FAA or Seffner, so not really sure what to expect from them.

How much stronger is Providence than the rest of these teams?

            They aren't....

This region is going to play out great because the teams are pretty evenly matched up and down this group of 8.

Orangewood played Prov close and tied SJCD. OW beat Lakeland Christian handily and scored a 1-0 against Trinity Prep in the last 10 minutes of the game on a free kick. Trintiy Prep lost to Florida Air 2-1 in a game where Florida Air looked outmatched for 80 minutes.

I really think this region is up in the air for anyone.

Home field may play as an advantage for some of these games. Florida Air plays on a crappy field with clay on part of it. The field is undersized and Florida Air plays it to their advantage. Lakeland Christian plays on artificial turf and plays a style to match the turf.

I'm excited to see the results Thursday night.

But back to the original question: if you think Providence is way past anyone here you haven't been watching soccer.

The "red x" is a scan of the bracket I worked out but it's not showing up.

I'm in agreement with your ranking for the most part, but know very little about Florida Air and a couple of the others.

I know Providence is getting healthy again and has made a good showing against 6a and 5a teams, as well as three of the 2A teams fighting out this region. They are the team to beat.

Orangewood played them tough as did Lakeland Christian and St Johns @ St. Johns. Obviously Taylor will be competitive. It will be a tough region to emerge from. I'm picking Providence.

It seems that SJCD allows many goals and scores many goals. You don't predict a higher score in the SJCD vs Taylor game?

Of the six games shown on Eurosports SJCD is 6 goals scored & 14 goals allowed. Hmmmm
your right... Taylor 4 SJCD 1

Prov may go to states, but they will not "walk through to states". This is unrealistic.

"Prov" better let some air out of their big heads if they think they are going to 'walk thru" states..
