Is it me or is the standard of new coaches dropping significantly in CT. As the old ones fade out for whatever reason it seem like the new guys (younger guys/Girls) arnt matching the standard. Been at a few clubs with my kids and have noticed this and also at the high school level.

I'm not going to generalize because that's all it is. Who knows all the coaches in the state? No one.
However, we all know the state of CT is not good right now. High cost of living, high taxes, shrinking population. I know a few head hunters who are having a hard time trying to get people to move here and many more want to find jobs out of the state. Pay for a typical club coach is lousy too. How many good coaches are there left in the state who aren't already gainfully employed?

Ahhh, the territorial roar of the angry Talkingtrash guy. They emerge in almost all threads.
Good morning to you my fine friend!!!
As to the question, I think each club has their core of standard (been there forever) coaches/owners, and then there is a revolving door of coaches who hop from club to club. Maybe its aspirational, maybe its cash, maybe they've been run off. But it seems like there is always a revolving set of seats and the same folks keep getting cycled.

I actually think the quality of coaching has improved overall throughout the state and every level. A lot of the younger coaches are former players who grew up around the game and there’s no longer a parent coach dominated system.
