A number of NESCAC teams are looking good have a chance for championship. Top team is Middlebury. They continue to play a solid possession game with no weaknesses. Williams always strong but suffer from splitting talent between lines. A number of teams have given them a run including Bowdoin this weekend. Amherst also solid across the board although it took them almost the entire first half to adjust to Springfield kickball. Once they got the ball on the ground and played through the middle they dominated.

Thanks Mom. Ya know, if your daughter went to a real soccer school they would have a sports information department to do all this work for you.

Ha, and she'll be doing the groundbreaking research while your daughter works in the comms department editing her press releases after a pro career making $25K a year and bunking in some other family's spare bedroom. Harsh? Yep, yet you just said the same thing in reverse about her soccer. Soccer is fun, not a career. Get over yourself and show all athletes some respect.

              Yes, big boom.

It's one thing for the d1 a**hole parents (I am one of them) to poke fun at a kid who is paying $70k to play D3 soccer and get a degree in French literature, but a kid at MIT has an amazing future and should be given some respect.

why just not a little respect overall? These kids are carrying full course loads studying something they want to study at a school they want to study at while playing some decent soccer (no, it's not high D1, and yes, we know that). But it is decent, and that should be respected.

Most of these kids did not "settle" for a low D1 school just so they could say they play D1.

For the ones playing high level D1, congratulations, that's awesome, and we're all very happy for you (seriously, no lie, you deserve it, and we see you rolling your eyes at your parents, too).

Nope, it's gotta be the dad. He's a neurosurgeon at Brigham & Women's so he has plenty of time to troll here all day.

BTW, the young woman was named NEWMAC offensive athlete of the week.

The amusing part is this same dad has obviously been making an awful lot comments about his daughters former club teammates who went D1. Guess what they say about what goes around comes around is true. BTW just because a kid goes to a school like MIT that doesn’t mean they have common sense, street smarts or social skills that are critical characteristics of successful people. After there are also a lot of kids on the Aspbergers spectrum at schools like that as well.

I really hope that your point isn’t that people on the spectrum can’t be successful if they struggle with some social skills.

Lol - I just tuned into this thread and this page is full of some funny ****e. That said, the MIT girl is a great kid as are many other D3 players too. Good luck to all!

Parents' promotion of their own kids soccer prowess was irritating in club and high school when kids were on the path to top D1s. Newmac is not the most challenging league and promoting your kids soccer skills on this site is pretty lame. Do not start another ridiculous D3 vs. D1 comparison. Any kid in at Harvard, NU, BC and many other local D1 schools will do just fine. Just be happy she is at MIT and leave it at that.

Looks like dad was able to get a two-fer; a shout out for himself and his kid. Well done!

like the people on some of these blogs struggling with social skills as they rage through their keyboarding.

Seems like the owner of this post has the problem with social skills; ASS-bergers.
How does this poster know that it's this dad making the posts? Thee protests too much; me thinks. This poster seems to want to deflect.
