Yes, these posts are a little sill. What I will say is that the consistently high performing high school teams have higher concentrations of club players. If you look at teams like Glastonbury many of their players grew up playing at Oakwood. Teams like Farmington and Lewis Mills are FSA. St Josephs have Yankee, Staples have CFC. If most of your players have been playing year round soccer your program has a huge advantage. Look at any state champion I would bet most players play competitive club ball.

she was an ECNL player and recruited by an ecnl coach from YU as a soph
she lost her ride, the coach lost his job

She got recruited by a local d1 team while at Yankee. The coach of that college team was a cfc ecnl coach. He wanted LS to play ecnl to play and practice against better competition. She was placed onto an existing ecnl team. She saw all college coaches at ecnl games and had bigger aspirations then the school she committed to. She decommitted. Would have been a good move, but unfortunately, her play against the better competition exposed some flaws in her game. Dora the explorer said it best....striker no striking! She did poorly, but had the size and speed that seduces college coaches. Ended up going to umass and after the coach had more time to watch her, he realized she needed a lot of work, She transferred back to another local d1 school and the results have been similar

Ridgefield Girls are primarily CT Rush. Coach as well.

Nine appearances at UMA with 1G. Played all games last year at SHU with 1G 2A. This years she's been in 4 of their 11 games with no stats; SHU 5-4-2 for the year thus far.

According to her profile she scored 30 goals her senior at StJ. As has been said, being a high school star doesn't always translate to college.

It's part of a consistent pattern at YU - LS, JM, MF and a few others. YU holds on to their better players tooth and nail, promotes them as part of their sales pitch to unsuspecting parents. Those players should not stay/have stayed in NPL, especially MF now that NPL is terrible compared to local ECNL or even DA. It's to the detriment of player develop AND it run the risk of getting in over their heads in college.

Just Yankees way to deflect.you will never see cfc pimp kids in 8th grade on their website. When they are juniors and seniors, you see commit lists from cfc, not before that.
