they left a few DA players at home and took MV players instead. apparently screamed at boys most of game. played kids out of their position and many DA kids came away with the desire to look at other playing "options"...
    that's correct -- E license guy left in charge . . .

just because there are some A license folks at MV does not mean they will be officially involved in the DA program. The large MV contingent of coaches are busy with the MV high school teams (gold, Red, White, etc.) and their usual recruiting activities to get new kids to pay $$ to MV for 2018-19 school year.

let's wait until after the DA match this weekend to see who they include as official head and assistant coaches on the DA website and match report.

right now, it appears MV doesn't have a clue or a plan . . . and it's wrong to treat OCDA kids like this who made 10 month commitment to the program

[bitter non-DA parents from Tampa, Jacksonville etc., please take your comments to another thread titled "Never been in OCDA but still venting snarky rage against OC"

-- MV requiring players to sign new "commitment" form midseason

-- MV is claiming the right to demote players from Full Time to Developmental Player status -- not allowed per USSF roster rules.

-- MV is requiring players to submit their report cards and maintain min 2.5 GPA or go on "performance improvement plan" monitored by MV

-- MV is dictating player hair length and clean shaven rules (LOL)

All this is bs high school stuff and contrary to USSF DA model. Someone should tell USSF higher-ups about this . . .
USSF DA rules should supercede any school rules.

please go back to the thread for whatever non-OC team your kid plays for and post your silly comments there.

OCDA situation with MV is actually a serious and sad situation unfairly and adversely affecting coaches and players and their families who have invested years of dedication to build the OCDA.

This is the demise of a professional organization by ownership that promotes PR that is 180 degrees opposite of what is really going on.

Save your snarky comments for your pay-to-play club or high school situation where the drama revolves around bad behavior by the team manager or the booster club president

Most of the Central Florida soccer community knew this already. Some of the purple kool-aide drinkers are finally starting to get it. OC's demise was only a matter of time. You can only get away with lying to your customers for so long.

It turns out that purple Kool-aide many have been drinking isn't really kool-aide is it?

Maybe USSF needs to adopt some new rules. Improving professionalism can't hurt. The lack if it within OC's academy led to it's demise. Not making the World Cup should be a wake up call that something needs to change.

Nope....old retread MLS players and MLS retread coach lead to failure. Should have had the younger hungrier players.

The DA system as a whole leaves a ton to be desired, but don't pin that debacle solely on the DA program.

Oh yeah right - if only the USSDA had implemented strict hairstyle and shaving and appearance standards ( no more sloppy untucked jerseys!) then our national team would be going to Russia !

There was no lack of professionalism among any of the OC coaches — The ones who have left are landing in fantastic jobs elsewhere. But nice try trying to suggest that a “lack of professionalism“ somehow contributed to the demise of OCDA.

The only thing going on here is that OC ownership doesn’t want to pay for a development Academy (or a USL team for that matter) so they have secretly moved the DA and driven out or fired the very professionals who have been working diligently to build and improve OCDA.

6 years and not one player from Orlando City DA is even close to making the MLS squad or sellable to another club. This is business and coaches didn’t get the job done
