I recognize the accountability that exists with a subordinate. Let’s understand that he didn’t work for Trump’s company, he is a political operator. He was likely referred to him and highly recommended for the position. My guess is that he was vetted thoroughly, just not with the same scrutiny as the FBI.
It sounds like Manafort belongs in jail. My guess is that there are hundreds like him on the staffs of the leaders of both parties.
