It isn't about loses but the efforts the clubs put in to lower level teams (most times very little) as well as some of the lousy competition out there for the lower leagues - all at great expense to families. Some serious consolidation is in order as is a more logical structure. Families don't know where their kids should be playing and clubs are happy to tell them their league is the best and take checks.

Sure they make money but is your assertion that lower level kids shouldn't be allowed to play club soccer? It's an absurd sentiment.

Because people are willing to pay. You seem convinced that the clubs are scamming families, and that parents are morons. I don't know any parents on regional teams that don't know the higher level teams exist. They have their reasons and their kids have fun.

2 wins for the 19s (that don't matter anywhere .... shouldn't they be into their sophomore year by now anyways??) and no other ones .... let's start there.

Yes, 2 wins for u18/19. There are juniors on those teams, so I think it matters to them
Two ties for u17s. Is that really a problem?
Two losses for u16s - disappointing for East, but not for West, since it was 2-1 and the first Ecnl game for most of the team.

Decent results overall, unless you hate stars, in which case nothing short of 4-0 victories for all teams would satisfy you.

It's still not at the same level as the GDA - the pinnacle of youth soccer in this country. GDA = best teams and best players. Hands down.

Some of the teams in FL have played their ECNL season this fall unlike teams from the Northeast who played high school in the fall. Sometimes it takes awhile to work out the kinks.
