They should be commended for having a facility. Just wish they could have done a better job with th me layout. Poorly conceived and it would not have cost much more to have it designed better.

My guess is that your response is a typical coach response. From that perspective the facility is adequate. You have field space to run appropriate training. However, if you are trying to improve club culture it would have been great to have some areas to congregate before and after.

This is dumb. United teams don’t “pay” per se, they train there. It’s not like each team is writing checks or making credit card payments to the office before or after each session. It’s no different than at FSA or OW, the costs are built into the player fees. If a Naugatuck travel team wanted to come in and train, they would pay the rental fee.

I’m a parent, not a coach. The facility is indeed adequate, it serves it’s purpose. I have to admit, when I first walked in last winter I was a little surprised there was no seating at all anywhere. It’s a no frills facility for sure, but I guess that’s to be expected since they all paid out of pocket for it. The cost cutting measures make some sense in that regard. It is what it is, the teams have a great place to train and it’s club owned.
