Jimmy attracted some technically/tactically talented coaches (who were jerks, but had great accents) and a growing Issaquah community. But the embellishments caught up to him and the house of cards fell.

ISC scrambled, but the damage was done.

Once Jimmy left, parents no longer put up with the talented but complete jerk coaches he hired. They have a couple good coaches today- scrappy and hard working…

    but uphill battle without ECNL.

ISC has some great kids and families who have been in the program for a long time. I get the resistance to join another club. But you aren’t doing it for “the kids”. You are holding off a merger for your kid, not knowing how it would impact your dd or ds.

Maybe that’s enough of a reason. Seems selfish. No way it benefits kids in Issaquah/Sammamish to have two competing clubs diluting talent. Not enough talent to support two clubs.

Inevitably, the families who are still holding on to what ISC use to be will age out. We are beginning to see signs of that as ISC struggles to hold on to top players as evident in their Crossfire Challenge showing and what we will see at Surf Cup.

We left ISC recently. EAL doesn’t make sense. Maybe it will someday.
Ahh. Overrated British soccer bum does a snow job on gullible yankee moms and dads, drives local club into ground. Into breach steps rival club, which takes advantage of situation to cement itself in dominant position by joining exclusive leagues (RCL, ECNL), locking the victim club out of the top echelons of suburban soccer, and denying the good folks in their shadow of Snoqualmie Pass their rightful place in the youth soccer firmament.

Oldest story in the world. Not really, of course--soccer has only existed for a century and change, and the world has been around much longer. But that's not important right now.

What matters is that the good dues-paying parents of Issaquah and Sammamish have been WRONGED, and justice must be done.

Most at Eastside and ISC likely don’t even know who he is.
His dad was a World Cup winner . I don’t get the hate towards gunners . Did anyone see a rcl div 1 or 2 team play in the top groups of the crossfire tournament ? If gunners are select then for sure so is RCL . Why don’t RCL merge with the pspl and let the big heads sit in their own lofty leagues pretending they are brilliant ? While all the select clubs play each other ?

          1) I think it was already mentioned his dad was a World Cup winner. Not sure why you mentioned again? Point?
          2) No one is arguing that the 2nd and 3rd teams within an ECNL club aren’t a lower level. They are.
          3) If PSPL teams want to join RCL there is a process and vice versa. Why do you want to merge leagues? Because PSPL isn’t good enough? If you are in PSPL demand that it be better! How in the world did RCL get ECNL as a USYS league and PSPL didn’t as a US Club league?

          Because the RCL was better.

I attempted to answer your question reasonably and without calling you stupid.

Nobody hates the gunners. But EAL is stupid.

What's so great about ECNL on the boys side beside Crossfire and few of the Seattle United teams

Really the boys? At least the girls had a couple teams that competed. The boys did poorly at every age group at crossfire challenge.

                  ISC Gunners Boys:

2009 played in second division and lost 11-2 to SU “B” team: https://events.gotsport.com/events/s...7230&action=Go

2008 played in first division. lost all 3 games scored one goal. The winner of their group lost against SU “B” team in semifinal: https://events.gotsport.com/events/s...7231&action=Go

2007: played first division. lost two, tied 1, scored one goal in three games. Lost 0-6 vs crossfire “b” team and 0-2 to PacNW ECNL. https://events.gotsport.com/events/s...7232&action=Go

2006: lost all 3 games in second division. https://events.gotsport.com/events/s...7235&action=Go

2005: played in 3rd division! Reached semifinal: https://events.gotsport.com/events/s...7238&action=Go

04/03: played in 2nd division and lost in final to Eastside FC’s “C” or 3rd team. https://events.gotsport.com/events/s...7255&action=Go

                    Surf Cup Boys:
04/03 playing in 6th division where they lost every game. They were dead last with 0 points. They finished 96th out of 96 teams in the age group. https://2021surfcupolders.surfcupspo...9?team-id=2475

05 playing in 3rd division. Lost all 3 games. https://2021surfcupolders.surfcupspo...9?team-id=2474

                    06 playing in 4th division went 1-1-1. https://2021surfcupolders.surfcupspo...9?team-id=2473

07 playing in 4th division lost two and got a win in last game https://2021surfcupolders.surfcupspo...9?team-id=2472

The fact that ISC had only one team playing in 3rd division and all the rest playing in 4th and 6th division tells you all you need to know.

On the other hand Crossfire's 03/04 kicked the crap out of the top division. 20 goals for and 0 against. Looks like they need a bracket above best of the best.

Well you obviously are stupid . Why should there be a process to join an inferior rcl ? The process of a team wanting to join the rcl is they have to win npsl div 1 (which in many cases is tougher then div2/3/4 in rcl) and then start in the lowest div in rcl …. It’s a closed shop to protect incomes . Obviously your income .

I dunno, they seem to get a lot of flak here, more than a small second-tier suburban club probably is worth. It's as though somebody likes rubbing their faces in the dirt, perhaps for an apparent failure to know their place.

You are a fukcing moron. I thought I could speak to you like an adult, boy did you prove me wrong.

You suggested a merger. No RCL club is looking to join PSPL. If they wanted to, they would. It’s an inferior league run poorly. PSPL members complain that RCL is a closed league. Why do they care if PSPL is so great? Because it sucks.

Please lay off the “Innovative Male” testosterone treatments. You are an ignorant tool and every time you post you demonstrate your stupidity.
