Revs will finish lower in the table this year than last year. Bolts will finish higher. Seacoast can’t finish any lower.

Not playing each other. Revs are on an MLS only cup schedule. That's gonna be a nightmare of travel for our kids.

Travel really is not that different and you play the Revs twice, NYCFC only once instead of twice.

They are by college coaches. And. maybe more importantly, they don't do anything to support the college process for their players. That's where the difference really hurts.

If you're at a prep school you use their resources. They're a 1000 times better than anything the Revs could do even if they did put any effort into it. The Revs don't give waivers, and according to some Revs players aren't "academically inclined" (not sure if that's true). A lot of Bolts players are prep/private school kids so in theory they are more academically inclined. On just academics I think it's harder to assess Bolts vs Revs. Soccer, well....coaches see what they see. Revs used to do better with placements but lately have really slid.

The college placement process in the ISL is the best reason to go to these schools. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

The U14s, U15s and U17s all play the Bolts and Seacoast.

Read more carefully. The comment was about the Revs. Its the Revs that don't do anything to support the college process. ISL schools are very supportive, but you need to have an effective partnership between school and club. That is where the Revs fall down and where the difference shows.

A partnership between school and club? Why? The Revs take care of high level soccer. The school takes care of college prep. Coaches come to scout ISL games. Coaches come to scout Academy games and showcases. This is all pretty straightforward.

All Revs teams will have less wins in 2019-20 than they did in 2018-19.

you clearly don't get it, or you haven't been through it. For the college coach, the player a single package--not two separate processes. what do the revs coaches say when a college coach asks about a player's academic performance? do they even know how to answer? do they even talk to the college coaches before or after games? do they do any reach out for their players? do the revs coaches adjust lineups when different coaches are present to ensure exposure? do they spend any time with the hs coach to make sure the messages are consistent? I understand that the revs aren't interested in the college process for their players, its not what they do and that is fine. But if you think that the Revs approach is the same as nefc, gps, bolts etc, then you are deeply mistaken.

If you rely on club coaches beyond an intro or a reference you are dumb as a post. A kid at BB&N or Milton comes with a pedigree. Their HS coach will provide info to college coaches. Who do you think the UNC or UVA coach wants to talk to? A Bolts coach? Seriously? The player needs to control the process, send test scores and transcripts, manage communications and demonstrate their value. You give club coaches WAY too much credit. Strong grades at an ISL school goes a long way.

How many waivers did the Revs issue?

Just one, to ZSS Milton Academy). One last year as well. Scales will give it to the poor kid which meets the financial hardship criteria. " extreme financial hardship"
