Tryouts are in May. However, ECNL clubs will hold ID Camps in April to identify players.

Around the country, ECNL like DA normally does id tryouts mid-end of April. With normal tryouts in May.

or you ask to attend a practice or two now. Clubs prefer to ID kids early and lock them in early before a competitor does. Cattle call tryouts might find one or two gems but for the most part at the better clubs the rosters are pretty much decided on well before "tryouts" If you want to move your kid get on the phone or email now.

Man, they just finished high school soccer. Can they get some club practices and games in?

Weston will be publishing their ID camp/tryouts within the next two weeks which looks like will be the second week of April and another one in May. Like the above comment, probably 1 of the mass tryouts in May will be invited to another DA section.

Also to remember many DA clubs will move past prior DA players this season, meaning 5-6 will drop to black and premier teams, maybe 3-4 MLS DA, meaning recruitment will be heavily done this season. In addition, some will leave Weston to other clubs.

How can that occur when there is supposed to be a non contact rule until may tryouts

That's for FYSA only. There is no such rule for USSF or US Club.

If looking to tryout for ECNL especially boys side suggestion would be to contact club ECNL coach and get to a practice before tryouts. With the growing popularity of ECNL it is going to be crazy at tryouts. Better to get in front of coach before a whole lot of players.

DA and ECNL are not within the same rules as FYSA. Meaning in a camp or ID trial, if the coaches like you then they will pursue you and let you know you made it to their top flight. If you didn't they will pitch you to come back to normal tryouts and that all. If a coach likes the player on the first tryout they will make offer, max two tryouts, anything else your wasting your and their time.

I can only speak to boys ecnl but that's why it's important to get in front of the coach before hand. We did this last season and it make a huge difference. Ecnl tryouts are going to be full of top players looking to switch.

If you're going across leagues you can do whatever you want. It's only inter-league tryouts where that applies. ECNL and some other leagues don't even have that rule; DA has restrictions if you want to try out for another DA team. Gone are the days of everyone tries out at the same time - too many leagues too many options

As every year i believe many will flood the gates at Vista Park, looking to get there free Weston FC badge. Other clubs such as Lakes and WPU are folding and anything else leaving to Weston.

I am sure in May there will be lines of players leaving to Weston and just some leaving Weston to go to the other clubs. DA ID camp here we go and the real winner. Take the best from other clubs and send the rest to the premier teams.
