Another issue will be where as in the past tryouts took place in May but for the majority teams competitive play had come to an end at least for July and August . Now tryouts in April will be followed by a full competitive slate of games , State Cup , numerous tournaments as well some league play . This I fear will lead to a lot of issues between those families that are staying and those leaving . Tournament weekend trips should be loads of fun .

What seasons do the northern teams play to avoid the snow? Would that work for them as well?

DA and now the GDA don't really have tryouts, they recruit though out the season and offer spots.... the May "tryouts" are just to get the fillers....
