    Correct.

2000 will be U17. No one will repeat any U-ages. Not that it matters. The U-system is dead now so you might as well call them U-Orange or U-Southwest. Their designation is 2000.

This will help college coaches see through some high school accolades (not that they are so important anyway). When you have an all-state "sophomore" who plays in the 1998 cohort you realize that's just parental maneuvering. Will we have teams of U20s that accommodate those folks lol?

Agree...for instance players playing U16 in 2015 can play U16 again in 2016. That looks like playing the age group again.

no, no player will play the same age again but some will skip and age.

In order to ensure the smoothest and most efficient transition, US Youth Soccer and other youth soccer organizations are also implementing these standards at the same time.

Calendar-year age chart, provided by U.S. Soccer

No one is skipping an age! Some are moving up a year, as they would have under the old system. So moving from u13 to u14. No one is moving from u13 to u15 (skipping). Some 2003s will be considered to be u13 for a second year.

The age charts apply to every single club/league etc. If they didn't can you imagine the havoc. No, the age chart applies to ecnl, edp, whatever.

I'm astounded that several posters were so sure that the chart was wrong!

We all know Anonymous hacked into the computers and changed the chart. It's a conspiracy that can be traced to the highest levels. After all, this is of vast importance to our nation

Anonymous doesn't change anything. They just release what they find. Big difference.

ok Mr. I Am Always Correct. Point being who would think the chart released would be false is a bonehead.

                        - not the OOP

Gotcha. Why people continuously misrepresent these charts is beyond me. They couldn't be any clearer.

NO one is moving up. Only down! Why is this so difficult. example u15 is 2000 2001. If it were to happen today, so you understand, 2001 would go to u14 and repeat u15 next year. That is all!!

Oh my God, just kill me now.

NO. No one is going down. Could you at least have a look at the chart before posting?!

If U15 is currently 2000 and 2001, then the 2000's will move to U16, and the 2001's will be considered U15 again.

Yes, if they are going to repeat U15 again they will be playing with those 2001's that are playing u14 now. That's playing down or repeat a year again...whatever floats your boat.
