You missed by one year. Next year's 2003s will be considered U14 and so on. The cut-off got pushed FORWARD, not back. No one will repeat a U-year but some will skip one. That's why there will, conceivably, be U19 going forward. The clubs are going to make sure that there is one EXTRA potential year of club play not one less.

For 2016 2000's will be u16. Some 2000's will repeat the year at u16.

2000 will be U17. No one will repeat any U-ages. Not that it matters. The U-system is dead now so you might as well call them U-Orange or U-Southwest. Their designation is 2000.

This will help college coaches see through some high school accolades (not that they are so important anyway). When you have an all-state "sophomore" who plays in the 1998 cohort you realize that's just parental maneuvering. Will we have teams of U20s that accommodate those folks lol?

Agree...for instance players playing U16 in 2015 can play U16 again in 2016. That looks like playing the age group again.

NO one is moving up. Only down! Why is this so difficult. example u15 is 2000 2001. If it were to happen today, so you understand, 2001 would go to u14 and repeat u15 next year. That is all!!

If U15 is currently 2000 and 2001, then the 2000's will move to U16, and the 2001's will be considered U15 again.

Yes, if they are going to repeat U15 again they will be playing with those 2001's that are playing u14 now. That's playing down or repeat a year again...whatever floats your boat.
