Depends. A valedictorian or salutatorian at a large and/or good public may have better chances than kids who are ranked 8-25 in an elite prep school. But #13 at the prep school will have much better chances than kids 5-13 in a public. And of course there are occasional exceptions to the rule, especially when you factor in hooks like some ungodly talent, athletics, minority/SES, etc.

This is true, but that is what you HAVE to be at a public School to get in. The rest is pretty spot on.

Agreed. But kids ranked #5 through 25 or so (or even lower depending on the hooks) at publics can STILL get into extremely good schools especially if playing a sport is involved, so MANY kids like this from publics will gain admission to National Universities and LACs ranked in the 10-35 range (and occasionally higher).

If you do well in school, any school, you are capable of attending a very good school. If you want to play in college and you are a good player you can play in college. Your options may be limited, but you can play. And there is nothing wrong with that.

To get four more years of competitive soccer is a bonus.

Good question. While P is a pain in the azz often times, that post and some others are accurate.

It's as tired a song as the one he pretends he is defending TS from. We've all been down the path before and where it ends is with P having a meltdown when someone starts talking about #5 being a marginal talent being forced to make secondary choices because they chose to be a small fish in a big pond. You'll see.

You [girls] conspiracy theorists seem to be getting confused with the [boys] Valeo parents. How funny.
