    Look at the numbers?
They're a J.V. club, not ready for prime time. MAPLE is all they'll be playing for a while.

Inferiority complex much? Should have been your New Years Resolution to overcome it.

You really think the NEP is about development? Bottom line it is a business and coastal can compete with the lower clubs in NEP.

Money talks, how do you think CSU got in the NEP? They were at over 50 teams two years ago. Due to poor leadership they are just under 30 now.

Or it could be that Stars and NEFC are fielding teams in that part of the state now.

It all comes back to the real reason this thread was started. Coastal still has an axe to grind with CSU. I don't really know why, nor do I care, but lets talk about how COASTAL can get into the NEP not about CSU.

CSU is staying in the NEP. That is a fact. If you are betting that you are getting into the league because they are going to get kicked out then you are going to lose that bet. A better approach would be to think that with the creation of the Academy on the girls side in 2017 there will be teams leaving the NEP. You will have NEP clubs that are going to have DAP teams and will then promote their second teams into the NPL. This means less teams in the NEP league. Then and only then would coastal have a chance on getting in. The league would need teams then and Coastal would have teams in U9-U17 at that point.

No one has an axe to grind. There are 2 clubs on the south shore, FCUSA joining NEP is pretty much inevitable. Whether it does or not isn't directly related CSU except that they both exist in the same market.

If you look at south of Hanover down into Plymouth and the tip of the Cape I don't think there is a real presence there. I know there are players on those clubs but there in terms of center of gravity and presence, there are basically 2 clubs that service that area as a home base. For what it's worth, as someone else mentioned, it is FCUSA Coastal now, and they are part of a larger organization with teams in other states.

And Bolts too. Coastal is a Cape club and that's a deal breaker for anyone north of Hanover. Location, location, location, and Coastal doesn't have it.

Process isn't joined, it's voted in, and they will never have the votes.

The vote was not close this year.

This is true, they had more votes this year than the year before. Clubs are slowly coming around.

"Coastal is a Cape Club"? What league do they play in? I don't see any "Coastal" anywhere in Massachusetts. Is this a new club?
