Worry more why more coaches/quality schools still come to DA over ecnl.
Coaches will follow the talent. As you have mentioned, girls who already have scholarships aren't motivated to spend a lot of money and travel in events just for the fun of it. So if 15-30% of these girls drop off across the board then all the age groups attending late events are affected about the same. If it were something that just affected DA events then yeah, coaches would probably shift their time to the ECNL events operating at about the same time. However that's not the case.

Those teams took spots that maybe other clubs or teams would have appreciated being part of something bigger then them as individuals. Doesn't matter the league; they took spots. Other sports would not allow the team next season to participate. that's how you stop it from happening.
Kids who are graduating aren't taking spots. They're gone for next year. I have no issue with graduating seniors dropping out of an event all the way out in SD. It's a huge expense and a time suck from a short summer. They have to be on campus for pre season shortly. Yes you need to be in top physical form when you show up but you don't have to be playing to do so. Plus if you're playing now that doesn't help you 6-8 weeks from now. It's what you do all summer that matters, which is primarily intensive physical training. Coaches usually give workout plans for players. Some college coaches make it clear not to play in meaningless games and risk getting injured. Younger players or any players joining the team from outside, even B team players, are more than happy to play and get fantastic college exposure. As for loyalty? These kids have been loyal and hard working for 10+ years. The majority of clubs aren't exactly loyal to players - they're a business first and foremost.

True that. They're trying to bandage up with some very mediocre clubs too.

So explain how in the gda, most teams brought most of their seniors? Read the game reports. Maybe that is why more coaches attend da versus ecnl. They feel the kids are more dedicated.

Many GDA U19 teams didn't attend at all. Only 16 in total. Is that "dedication?"

Idiot. Only 16 qualified. And it is dedication gor those that attended. Maybe because us soccer is ringing that bell the clubs made sure they had a good showing. Like not sending their npl players in da uniforms.

You missed the poster's point - you can't claim GDA teams/players are some how "more dedicated" when many GDA teams opted out. Case in point - NYCFC who had all three teams qualify for playoffs did not have their U19s go. They must be less dedicated right?

If you're talking about ECNL U19 composite that is a joke of a bracket. Some clubs use it for overflow to give bench warmers playing time, players they didn't want to cut, older seniors with a place to play. It's an extra team each club can run and make more money. Some clubs don't even have composite teams. They also only had Champions League for that age group, no showcase.

And yet, even at those games there were still 20-30 scouts at the games.

Not claiming more dedicated, but maybe that is how viewed. Who else opted out? Nycfc is in u16/u17 champs bracket. They played pda yesterdar according to results.
Clearly some of their teams there.

Eclipse u19 DA didn’t show apparently another. 3 teams no showed for GDA nationals.

Weston u15 qualified for the playoffs and they dropped out also
