    building

Outside of EST and WST what have other clubs done to improve youth soccer. Both of these clubs are investing a ton of money in building facilities for the community.

Birds of a feather flock together in the TA I guess.

What are the other non TA clubs doing with the money?

THPRD has built all the fields for WST, the number of fields/complex's is staggering.

Westside isn't building any of its own facilities--the club prefers to spend its money on other things then real estate.

It does, however, partner extensively with both the local parks district (THPRD) and school district (Beaverton) on facilities, including ponying up money to help with facilities improvements. Conestoga and Champions Park have now opened and are nice new facilities.

Not true. LOL. Not sure about your exaggerated fake fact. Define a "ton of money" in $ amounts.

WST definitely doesn't have a "ton of money" nor can it afford to invest in building facilities. When it could afford to help in the past, WST and THUSC (somewhat) helped THPRD $ towards building 2 turf fields.

Call the office and ask them. They'll likely refer you to their president.

                Ha ha! Sarcasm.

It would be amazing if one lone soccer club had that much power. What is interesting is that WST doesn't even have their own rec program (like another THPRD fields user, Aloha). Not a major money stream.

Fom the THPRD site about who has access to all those fields. Have people seen how many teams end of only being able to train on 1/2 a field, and only during ceratin months? Many sports sharing those fields.

                Affiliate programs
Youth baseball, softball, football, soccer, lacrosse and cricket leagues are all run by affiliated user groups in the Park District. The affiliated users are volunteer-run groups that manage registrations, team formation and scheduling. They work closely with THPRD staff to allocate field use, address league needs and concerns, and ensure trained coaches and a quality program. Our youth leagues would be at a tremendous loss without the many volunteers who step up each season, and we thank them for their service.

If anything, the lack of a rec half might hurt Westside, as THPRD generally considers rec clubs to be of greater community import than competitive clubs. But still, they are a key partner with the parks district, and there are plenty of good rec clubs in the area.

For the last 20 years this club has that power, all of the top turf & grass fields at it's fingertips. Good to be the King of Clubs.

Then why are you playing a good portion of your games at dog turd field aka powerlines park?

More dog turds at power lines then Ecnl teams scored goals last season. Good thing the best teams left that conference. Maybe cu and Fcp can actually win some.

Because of all the whining that it causes from the other team!

(Seriously--THPRD often gives first pick of fields to the rec clubs).
