The Chargers had zero teams qualify for FSPL, they have zero teams playing R3PL. They play against TBU and WFF "B" teams and if you are playing the "A" teams it's not their best starting 11 you're facing. CDL and NPL are viewed as lower leagues in the state of FL at U15 & above. All facts.
Still think you are a d%#k for the dwarf comment though.

TBU has some on the 16's that are good enough to contribute. (We take their best players after 14 since they don't have a real DA). Those that are good enough to compete with Charger kids are allowed to join a real DA program and continue on with their development.
This is how a good farm system works:
TBU = Farm System for Chargers
Saying WFF acts as a farm system is a reach....as they really don't have a lot of talented kids....a few borderline DA kids once in a while maybe.

All good farm clubs aspire to send entire teams to the major league!
Chargers rule Tampa Bay U-16 and above. The facts are the U16 DA got the best TBU had to offer and even the not quite good enough came to the U16 NPL team hoping to get their shot down the road.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThis is a funny post. Where are all the WFF players on Chargers DA?? LOL.... Not many....

TBU and WFF should merge to create the natural leader, having ECNL and given full DA. Would put Chargers back to a full rec program.

None of it would matter. The ego coaches and self promoting board members would find a way to take over the club and make a bigger pile of ****. The dream of the best players in Tampa being on one team and the best coaches being given the job over those is just that, a dream. Boards members will get their avg kid on the top team and a doc will place himself or a buddy as coach in place instead of using a better coach in there own mega club coaching pool.

Why is the powerhouse known as Chargers the only DA without their "reserves" playing in a regional or state league. Fact is your club is a joke.

Sarcasm aside, The above is actually quite true and reflects the current state of affairs in the Tampa Bay area (for boys from 14-18). I also hope another DA program will arise in the area (or TBU getting a full DA). However, until that time the most talented players are going to need to try and migrate to CC (or head to IMG or OC - which is easier said than done).
CC needs to perform well as an entire DA (like this year so far) for several consecutive years before US Soccer would consider expanding DA further into the area. IF CC is struggling there is no way that dilute the talent pool further by adding another full DA.

Its evident that any high level coach in 14-18 is holding back players because they know the coaches at CC are not of the same level or value. You develop a player for years and they should turn them lose but why if the DA program is not beyond what the elite club team offers? That is the problem. The solution, a new DA, we high level coaches who will drive players to the next level. Go watch Disney this Christmas and compare the Tampa based teams against the DA teams. You will see it first hand.
Miami area 2
Tampa 1
Jacksonville 1
Orlando 1
1 other to be shared with the population excess of Orlando/Jacksonville.
The bottom line is that population limits the number not the level of coaching although the level of coaching could be much better in the Tampa area
