There will not be a long run for KK. Only game in town on Long Island will be Barca and SUSA.

Are you kidding? Susa will never build a new complex as planned, they may build a few fields.

Their paying player count this fall will be lower than last fall.

Barca is new but they are poised to grow into a significant club.

Going down faster than ever after their group meeting last night. No major announcement, just Kurt bad mouthing Barca with lies and fabrications, as well as speaking of some kind of local club merge if they need a larger player pool. He's in survival mode now with some of his 06 and 05 players leaving for Barca, SUSA, and other teams since they were not happy with his leadership skills.

Dan K will fit in well with SUSA. Didn't FCLI/SUSA cheat in the state cup a couple years back. Selfish money hungry attitude belongs together. Unless SUSA changes its philosophy and actually cares about the kids not their pockets and egos they will not last long.

LI is over-soccered and with more leagues it will get worse. All these clubs chasing the same thing is like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

KK had an advantage but with VCF and FCB that advantage will erode even if those programs aren't what they promised and VCF early looks like it is solid from the people I know training there. That means the clubs need the LI leagues because leaving LI will produce the same results as they have for years.

Every academy, KK, SUSA, LI Premier, World Class, Barca, Valencia, Surf, Brooklyn Italians, STA, Quickstrike, Etc. wants your money. That is a non-issue, they are businesses that need the funds to survive and NO ONE's cost in Suffolk is way higher than anyone else.
I do know that on average- KK(depending on how many tourneys you did), SUSA and Barca are all very close in yearly fees.

I think the original poster covered what is wrong with KK right now AND those of us who know the player situation at KK, know that more of the original players will be leaving in the next week which will leave a handful of talent there to be paired mostly with LIJSL lower division players, not that there is anything wrong with that. If Kurt can keep it going, good for him.

Merger deal after merger deal; affiliation after affiliation fell apart over the last 3 years leaving KK with teams that didn't have enough players so they were being shifted through the teams to cover games. Plus Kurt NOT following through with his commitment to these teams that he promised at the first meeting back in June left a bad taste in many KK families mouths which is why many looked for other options for their players.
Starting off Badmouthing Barca for 10 minutes at a club meeting that we were all hoping to get some good info at was also a mistake by Kurt.

Some went to NYCFC, SUSA, Barca, and another club or two

KK 06 Boys- Team has very few players left, either have to pull mostly 07's to fill in spots to even make a team or use any merger players. Some players went to NYCFC, SUSA, and Barca and another club or two

Uh, Sachem hasn't had any 05 players in a few years. There is zero help there for KK from Sachem.

Sachem has a few decent 06's and 07's but not all that much as they suffered losses to both of those age groups this tryout season.
