I just checked in on this too. Anyone have any info? Are they getting an ECNL or GDA shield? How likely and would it be for the upcoming soccer season?

The lack of posting may mean no ENCL or GDA is on it's way.

The Ukies have to much of a tradition, a large player pool and a great geographic location to play their teams in 2nd rate leagues. They should apply for boys and girls ECNL. Think big and have a 10 year plan!

In 10 yrs, they may be combined with another club that has ECNL. The landscape of this business changes year to year unfortunately.

Still...nothing on this. Is it that parents don't want outside competition for their super stars?

This by far the most asinine comment I have read on any thread and there are some really stupid things being said in anonymous message board land.

The only say parents have in what league they play in is by taking the kid to a team who plays in the league, and then the kid has to make the team.

FC Bucks tryouts are over so this is not an attempt to make the Ukies look bad. The poster has to be someone disguntled with the club. If so just state your grievances.

Just keep saying to yourself “it’s just soccer, it’s just soccer...”.

So contrary to what others have posted on this site, the ECNL may be looking for new clubs in both Central PA and around the Philadelphia area. We were told by a high-ranking member of PDA that is very involved with ECNL, that he does not think Continental FC Delco will be able to maintain the necessary stability to continue on in the ECNL. He expressed strongly that Delco is no longer a fit in the league and will be done in the near future. We were told that a new club in the Philadelphia area is being explored as the replacement. We were also told that Penn FC from Harrisburg is of interest to the ECNL. Penn FC was mentioned by name. I asked about Ukies and surprisingly he didn’t know much about the girls club. Maybe that is good, because he didn’t say no. Maybe Ukies will become the replacement for Delco.

FC Bucks will benefit for sure and so could the Ukies as far as players. Penn FC would be a good choice.

So ECNL is going to relegate clubs? Interesting.
Have the Ukies competed against any ECNL teams? If so, who and how did they do? Like at Jeff Cup or Bethesda, etc.?
