I agree that some of their parents are very difficult people. But I would not rat out a kid.

Two different arguments. One about parents ratting on kids. Think everyone agrees that’s a little much. The other about them getting suspended for not following the rules. If you do the crime be prepared to do the time!

Doubt any one knew or cared about the "crime" other then some money grubbing competing club or some vindictive parent. No one else would bother.

No dog in the fight, but the people defending these entitled kids and their self-serving parents who encouraged their kids to break the rules are absolutely delusional. Kids are lucky they didn't get tossed from the league for the season...if GDA weren't so desperate for #s in the NE, they probably would have and GDA would've been justified in doing so.

The league OFFERS A FREAKING LOOPHOLE!!! They give these entitled brats a way to play HS AND GDA so their mommies & daddies can post their little Newsday write-ups on facebook and then brag that they play GDA...join the GDA roster once HS season ends, simple. But even that isn't good enough? Gimme an effing break!

If you think you are some kind of hero for helping the crappy federation enforce their crappy rules think again. You can kiss their ass until you can't breath and they still wont give a rat's ass about your kid or any the other kids - whether they are playing HS or not.

how do we even know it was parents? other clubs have a much bigger incentive to rat out the club with kids as collateral damage yet willing participants

This entire exercise was to put the ecnl out of business. That is what all these players are being used to do. I could care less which league comes out on top but why do you let your player be used?

^ this guy. He's right. The league has a loophole and it seems plenty of clubs are using the loophole legally. Fury decided to break the cardinal rule which is no matter via the loophole or a legal waiver, you cannot do both at once. They gave a wink wink because they couldn't fill rosters with enough decent players to even play games in the fall.

They wont let their players be used for an agenda that has nothing to do with soccer or the players. Don't let these soccer organizations use your players if ti does not serve your player.

Exactly. Don't sign up and play for the team.

                            Problem solved.

Don't join it if you don't like it.

                              Simple.
