Pre Covid the NWSL and women’s soccer in Europe was starting to gain some traction. Some of the big Clubs were fielding women’s teams and investing in them. Unfortunately, the pandemic is going to halt that and may even be the end of it, will just have to wait and see.

ECNL and playing in college is the best pathway we have, there just isn’t the funding for anything else at this point.

HS Soccer is completely irrelevant for the boys.
If you look at the all of the top D1 boys recruits coming out of New England this year, far more of them played HS soccer than did not. Obviously, every kid's situation is different, and I am not saying that they were recruited b/c of their HS playing--that is doubtful. But to suggest that there is not a place for kids who play HS every fall and then play club in the winter/spring is ignoring the obvious reality of what has occurred in New England during recent years and what is likely to continue in the future.

Not women’s rights so much (excluding our Middle
Eastern friends) but just better access to training and interest in sports in general.
We got off to a roaring start and continue to perform at the highest level, but the gap has closed significantly.
Plus, we have all these brilliant soccer dads who discovered that soccer was less likely to cut their girls than other sports, so it has allowed for a bigger pool of talent, not to mention they still believe that every 4 yr old who plays has a chance at a scholarship.

Is there any truth to this rumor?

If it is true, i would love to know what teams go to this DPL vs NPL league. The NPL itself isnt going anywhere but its just a matter of what clubs will play for who.

Why is the women's league in the US not as good as the european leagues?

DPL is only for girls side of NEP.

DPL is now the league where GA will put their second teams and other NPL clubs will now put their first teams. NPL (A Bracket) will become the weaker league with 2nd/3rd teams.
