Not sure why that's still up there for? Perhaps he isn't officially gone until a specific date based on his contract? But he has or is leaving & we've been told to Seacoast United where his 2nd in command Rob J & Tom G as well as Girls Director Alex D have gone to.

This is an excerpt from last Friday's email to families.

"After six years of service, Paul & Erica Turner will be departing Steel Soccer. Both have contributed to the successful development of programs in Massachusetts. Their expertise and knowledge have been a tremendous asset. We want to wish both of them the very best in the future. We would also like to wish Rob Jones, Alex Devey & Tom Greenaway the best as they pursue different career options."

This excerpt was in a story on Seacoast United's website as of Monday afternoon under the title: Massachusetts Expansion

"Paul Willis, Founder and President of Seacoast United Sports Club, is looking forward to the opportunity."

“'We have always wanted to have a presence south of Boston. We have had many discussions over the years as to what this would look like and we feel the time is right to make this move. We are committed to providing opportunities to players of all ages and abilities and firmly believe this will have a profound impact across the South Shore. I’m delighted to welcome Rob Jones rjones@seacoastunited.com as Director of Operations along with Tom Greenaway tgreenaway@seacoastunited.com and Alex Devey adevey@seacoastunited.com who will work closely with myself and the entire Seacoast United team.'"

These three individuals along with PT coach(ed) all the NEP - FCUSA NPL level and/or NEP Premiership - FCUSA Massachusetts Elite girls teams from '07 up to '02 and no doubt were offered by PT to PW to join SeacoastUnited after STEEL(parent company of FCUSA/soon to be Steel United) not only furloughed/stopped benefits for all coaches immediately on 3/20 but eventually did the same to all Directors including PT. No doubt once that happened he shopped that crew and teams to PW and the rest as they say is history.

Meanwhile SUMC now seems to be left out in the cold and maybe trying to go at it independently. Who knows but a definite lame duck. Rumor mill had them shopping their program around to SURF & possibly STEEL though wouldn't be surprised if it were those two clubs seeking SUMC themselves after what's taken place!

As of now 11 Coaches/Directors of the top FCUSA teams have left to Seacoast or for another opportunity. RT left FCUSA in a flash to SUMC, cant imagine he would go back. Perhaps he will end up at new Seacoast team with his former Co Workers.

Do you have names or initials of those who left FCUSA for Seacoast other then, PT/ET, RJ, TG & AD?

I wonder many team/players those coaches are able to convert and jump-ship with them?

Wait - is it PG or PG who left, maybe it's BS or it could be TSOP by MFSB...

They're not going to have a choice because as stated in the email those coaches can coach the same players if they're in the NEP. They are able to take those players though because Seacoast is changing leagues. Steel can think what they want about the difference between furloughed and still being under contract and I'm no lawyer but I have to thank all those coaches and directors that were "furloughed" have a right to seek employment elsewhere. That they did and now are employed by Seacoast or any other club, Steel can't do anything about. What they did state is that they were not going to allow the recruitment of any of the players or teams to be able to go to another club and be coached by the same coach they had at fcusa who has jumped ship in this whole Seacoast drama. But that was only if they were in the NEP where the board made up of the clubs in the league agreed that any coaches or directors who move to another club cannot recruit players or teams from their former job and be able to coach those players for one year. So how do you get around that? You leave that league which is exactly what Seacoast did or is doing.

Or they can just list a different coach anywhere "official" for the next year, as has been the practice with defecting coaches for many years.

As we now know Seacoast Did not leave the League. I’m guessing they will have to move coaches around or there will be an exception due to the pandemic? The New director of NEP is from Seacoast and PT is with them as well. Interesting to see how that plays out.

Do you honestly believe a logo on a website/letter means anything? NEP can't figure out that they should cancel the season but they can write a solidarity letter?
