College leagues on for the fall?

Do you think DI-III college soccer leagues will play this fall, or no. Any rumors?

Everyone looks questionable. No students no sports. If they do come back leagues limited to states rules for attendance. Some think A-10 may not have a playoff to save money.

I'd like to be hopeful but I'm not. BigEast Comm. says the office is working on a few "models" on what to do when faced with certain conditions. Like a couple of schools refusing to play the schedule that type of thing. That's if they do start.

There's this thread on college already.

I know CA State schools, which are not opening in the fall, are still trying to run athletic teams. I imagine that won't be popular with the students who can't return

Still delay to the start, and still 20 games in 1.5 months

NCAA D1 Council voted to allow workouts for football June 1 and other sports including soccer starting July 15. Some conferences like SEC, Big 12, etc. drawing up plans to bring student-athletes back on campus this summer.

Not so fast. What happens if one team member comes down with C-19? Is the team quarantined?

Then the NCAA will force every sport to cease in the whole country to keep people like you satisfied.

Teams reporting as soon as early June. So they are ready for August start dates.

Makes sense. 8/1 report date may be flexed since everyone was precluded from spring team trainings. Getting these kids on campus early, getting them set up with training times, workouts, maybe an early class to get the routine back, etc. will help with the return to normal desperately needed.

6/1 is supposed to be optional. Some athletes may not want to return that early if they had a job or internship that hadn't fallen through. I think schools need to carefully assess letting athletes back but not regular students, especially for the fall. It won't sit well with the majority student body.

Athletes always report early. Student body may be happy to have bugs worked out when they report.
