I hope she already secured her spot.

That is a very reasonable deposit requirement.

You got to be out of your mind to sign your kid up for Stars regardless! Terrible club, so many better options out there!

Agree! Signed contracts in early May is a way to lock members into paying regardless of what happens in the future. The contracts are clearly written to benefit the club. Like the money collected for this spring season with no services rendered wasn't enough?

$3500 + travel expenses and a new uniform kit paid to a soccer club (with uncertainity of a season and no refund) or 3500+ to a college fund? Hmm college fund wins out this year

Haha-that is a deposit. There are 10, 4 or 1 more payment(s) that follow the deposit. And it is nearly impossible to get out of a contract. Read the fine print. A signed contract means payment regardless of a season or no season. Extra $100 if you spread the payments out. Don't forget the obligation to a new uniform kit this year.

The timing of offers/contracts this year was exactly the same as it has been in the past. Whether people choose to sign based on the current situation is up to them, but the club has always sent out offers in May.

Nope not at all. 3500+ for this season and next for a few winter sessions so far?

Exactly. Just a newsflash for those reading. Stars has one of the lowest tuitions out there compared to the (ex) DA and even some of the clubs playing NEP

Contracts were ALWAYS written to benefit the clubs. Nothing new there, nor is the timing - this normally would be tryout season and offers would have gone out (or soon) to existing players to see who was coming back. If it's only a $50 deposit that's a low risk chance to take.
