The trend continues in the youth soccer world as 5 different locations in Canada for Barca Academy have closed down. Over 1,000 youth soccer players displaced and looking for new homes. Amazing what this COVID 19 virus has done. Worried about the landscape here locally hope it does not destroy what we’ve built.

BCN the business either has been poorly run or manages cash poorly.
Youth sports is an unregulated billion dollar business.
With no public advocate its buyer beware.

The NY Barca Academy is owned by Barca itself. It very well may end up closing in the long run but somewhat less likely to do so because it wouldn't be an outside entity making the decision to do so.

The trend unfortunately continues as GPS Canada also closed down and fired all their staff. Rumours are the entire GPS brand may be in jeopardy with Mass being next. Hope this does not expand south to NJ....
