disagree, if the tryouts had been fair then I think both teams would look completely different, a few of the NPL girls were on RF team before the back room deal, the NPL team is a decent team and does ok it would be a good game, as long as RF & BB plays fair and doesn't' pull the guest players because the ECNL team can't field enough players

Agree we will never know how the teams would have looked if all those involved in the back room deal had just let the chips fall. Why was everyone so afraid to have open and fair tryouts? Guess they were worried their little Mia’s couldn’t make it on their own. The NPL team has some very good players as evidenced by the fact the ECNL team uses them when needed and they perform as well or better than some of the ECNL players.

It really is. 06 npl parents have a lot of emotions to get out. It’s a good thing. Talking about your feelings on an anonymous website is what most therapists (and google) would tell you to do when dealing with such a devastation in ones life.

Just what exactly would an NPL parent get out of posting here. Most of them have already played for RF and/or BB and have no desire to do so again. Do you think these people are secretly clamoring to get on board an obviously sinking ship. Perhaps they have seen how great the ECNL team is and how great their record is and are just dying to get their kids on such a good team Do you think they are secretly desiring the "expert" coaching of a dad coach, over their own qualified professional coach, who they all seem to like, and who seems to actually show up. Maybe they are all looking to reduce their current commitment of 2 practices a week down to 1, so their kids can sit home and go on scary walks. Maybe they are all after the highly coveted coaching feedback and developmental plans that RF provides all of this players. Or maybe they just really really want to spend an extra couple grand in travel expenses each year to lose ECNL tournaments or to go to showcases where no one is actually being showcased because your team is known as the dregs of ECNL. Yep. Im sure its the NPL parents. Definitely.

It's a shame your kid will never learn from trying hard for something and failing. Keep plowing the path in front of them to keep it smooth .... this should go well when they are 24 and have to compete on real merit ..... or do you own a company that you will hand to muffy as well?

Rock bottom is telling Mary and Janey that you can't play on Mia and ZB's team because you arent friends with them .... but doing it behind their backs .... and then proclaiming that Mia and ZB are special players .... they are so good .... they have ECNL patches .... NPL is good for you though Mary and Janey and you should be really proud that we gave you those scraps! Yay Mia and Zoe! What club lets crazy parents dictate anything?!?!
