not eagleman, but pretty pathetic how BC AD goes about BC business. Lacking some serious street cred

Are you blaming AD for kid in transfer portal? Or for hiring new HC or both?

I am not a fan but trailer locker rooms, etc were all front and center when kids checked out the school and still said sign me up.

Good point. Statistically just about any program is going to have a few kids looking to transfer. The reasons may have nothing to do with sports. When you see a larger number looking to get out then there's something more going on. Any time a new coach comes in people get nervous but most will give the new guy a shot for the next year. However, most kids aren't going to leave after sophomore year. The window is nearly shut by then for sports (why put a lot into developing a player that will only be with you 1-2 years?), but they also are entrenched in the school, their teammates, their majors etc.

True but there are exceptions. As an example, FSU gk who won nat'l championship transferred as a jr (jeffers).

When the need presents itself and you maybe want new, you go. And from a coaching standpoint, if they will help you get to or advance in ncaa's, why not.

Coming in the Jr year after winning, that speaks to a personality conflict between the player and either another player or a coach. Can't help that

GKs are a different animal regardless of prior school success. You could wait two years, hoping you'll play as a junior, but then they bring in a GK from the German national team and you're done. But I agree if the player is a true stud coaches will look at them. If you're looking to transfer because you're not getting PT? Not so easy.

It can possibly be because of major as well. Normally you must have declared your major by end of sophomore year, but by then you may have changed majors three times or realized there's another school that's better for your career path. Or as I posted above, they're bringing in a stud GK and you know you'll never play.

Bad example. She transferred in after Freshman year AND traded up in quality from ECU to FSU. Your post makes it sound like she left FSU after winning a title .

You f'ing people are really something. Despite who you play on this board, you are not the resident expert. Mind yer business and worry about your own, nothing more.

Most of these girls have 3 years left of soccer at best. Maybe they realize that the clock is ticking, and try to make the best of the few years left.

She played at ECU in 2016 as a redshirted freshman. Which means she transferred after soph year not true freshman yr.

Did the poster say something factually incorrect? If so, correct it. Poster said nothing derogatory about the player but if his information is wrong say so. College players and programs get discussed because people are interested and information is public. He didn't trash a 12 year old like some scumbags do on this board, but you're wasting time admonishing people on this board 😆

Playing with a youth team and kids your age and your club vs players older and technically trained better than stars teammates, international nt's, is a whole different ballgame.

Stars does not get you ready for that. Many clubs don't.
Stars parents ought to transfer. Heave ho please. Losers
