Here is the thing: they are still D1 recruited athletes and doing something that only about 1% of students graduating HS can or are willing to do.

Please stop with the ******* contest about scholarships. If the kid has the athletic talent to play and the GPA to get merit money and admissions, more power to them.
This sounds like a parent of a girl who got offered little to nothing. But at least you got your “my daughter made a D1 team” participation trophy. All that hard work to ride the pine.

Riding the pine and will never see the pitch, sounds about right, but hey at least she made D1.I hope at least it’s a winning program.

Always love posts like this from some idiot who knows nothing. Probably has never had a kid in college, much less a D1 athlete. It’s why much of TS is just nonsense.

If your kid has true talent and desire, there is always a spot and money even at the very top programs. There are kids recruited all the way into HS senior year so a talented 2021 shouldn’t feel hopeless listening to the drivel from the TS morons.

Coaches only have so much money to work with. When the money is gone it’s gone. Sure, there might be situations where someone decommits or a player leaves to free up money but for the most part the best deals have already happened. So while technically there might be money left, it’s not likely going to be much. Not always the case but it’s mostly true.

People should just post their offers by season - summer before jr year, fall, winter, spring.

Add to the above - they only "top" 2021s that haven't committed at this point would be ones that were injured during prime recruit season. Sorry parents of average layers, that's how it works. Top players had their deals locked in months ago, as did top programs. If someone is bragging about a full ride it's probably nearly all merit and financial aid.

probably than 20% on average and mostly just at lower level programs. If someone is getting more they're either really lucky (maybe someone dropped out) or they're getting a lot of merit and/or financial aid.

Anyone recruited now more than likely, received zero athletic money and are preferred walk on status.Usually it’s fast athletic types with little technical ability players or those with attitudes , coaches can make them fit maybe but no loss if they don’t work out.Practice squads are a necessity.

in most instances players 18-28 are practice cones. They might get a few token minutes here and there in lopsided games. All you have to do is look at players stats on any program's website then see who the starters and first subs are. If you're not that good, you're probably going to be a cone. Not getting meaningful money or being recruited late in the game is another sure sign of that

So what’s the purpose of these div 1 2021’s going to anymore travel showcases. Stay local if that’s the truth no? Spending more money on no return is foolish at this point. If div 3 is your plan maybe that’s why.

Coaches go and watch their recruits

Any player that is committed should still be attending all team Showcase tournaments for several reasons but most important to help your teammates who are not recruited get recruited for what ever division. Also player who think they made it when the verbally commit or even after signing letter of intent should work even harder. I have seen over my 3 girls careers players slack off in their senior year only to get a rude awaking when they get to college. They cannot pass the fitness test and don't get their kit until they do so. The sit the bench because they can't play at the speed of play due to not playing their hardest or going to training.

High academic schools which have a low admission rate do have that extra carrot to dangle.
