              Odd that in club soccer, there's so much directed toward "development" but when it comes to school soccer, it's all about "winning".

                There is no time for development with only 2 or so weeeks of practice before games started, so you must not be winning.

                  TOMLIN GIRLS ARE THE TEAM TO BEAT,THIS TEAM MADE FINALS LAST YEAR WITH 14 6th graders, and all this girls play competitive soccer for the same club yes PLANT CITY LANCERS

                      Yes, well they are suppose to. However not sure that the one ref they have on the field can effectively make the calls.

                          Actually FMSSA has decided that middle school soccer would be better played if they do away with the offsides rule. It has been to complicated for the middle school parents along with the referees to understand the rule as it should be applied. Also under consideration for next year is doing away with the six yard box so that the keeper can take goal kicks from any where in the penalty box. This will help in the defending team being able to get the ball out of their own end of the field. They are also trying to decide whether it should be mandatory for the home team to suplpy snacks for both teams after the game to try keep a more festive atmosphere.

                          Enjoy the season, should be a competitve one this year with all of the teams having a great chance of advancing.

                            my doughter tells me that they only play five games and that they have to be undefeted to advance to county can someone explain this to me please

                              Two 2-0 teams play tomorrow, Tomlin and Turkey Creek. Tomlin wins everything and Turkey Creek was the county champ last year. Should be a good game.
