Why would WFF Allow the chargers to have ID trials at their locations? I would assume that they are merging but no announcement has been made?

If that happens AL at TBU will be a dead man walking… He has desperately tried to merge/takeover every club possible. Not sure he understands the good old boy network in the Tampa area

You idiots have been saying "Chargers days are numbered" for years. Yet, they're still here after 40 years. Not one other club can say that in the area. Give it a rest already.

No one really wants U18/19 DA. It's the U17 that's the sought after one. Of course TBU will get U18/19 to allow the U17s that didn't graduate yet to continue playing. Once they got U17, it was a guaranty they'd get the rest.

What I don't get is, doesn't WFF have a DA for U13 and U14? Why then would they allow CC to hold tryouts at their campus unless they are agreeing to leave the U13s and U14s alone and only attend the U15s and up?

No way they merge. They will get to the alter and then walk away. Neither group will give up control. They probably should merge, but it won't happen.

With the Chargers and WFF now affiliated for the DA programs and the Chargers and the Rowdies already affiliated for a USL II (former PDL) program, and while it may make entirely too much sense, my hope is that the DA and ECNL programs of the Chargers, TBU and WFF will soon combine under a Tampa Bay Rowdies umbrella.

No way. First off, the Rowdies are second division and struggle to fill the stands so they do not have that kind of pull to make that happen. Plus the ownership may care about soccer, or they may not, we don't really know yet. They are baseball people.

Second, the CC crew protect their own jobs and uniform sale kickbacks and need to do so for a few more years until social security kicks in. So nothing will happen there unless they run out of money.

Third, WFF and TBU couldn't come together when it made tons of sense and they were sort of equals. Now that TBU is the big brother, and WFF is the failing little brother, I do not foresee any merger there. WFF would want equal treatment but no longer deserve it. And TBU will want full control and neither CC nor WFF would give them that. So instead, we will have an affiliation between CC and WFF that lasts about 6 months. Then when next year starts, we never hear of it again and its as if it never happened. Remember years ago when CC was affiliated with the Rowdies the first time? Neither does anyone else. Remember a few years ago when CC affiliated with Florida Premier with the DA? Neither does anyone else. WFF affiliation will be the same.
