Trotters may not be a done deal, but it sure sounds like it's getting pretty close. Way too close for coaches to guarantee (his word, not mine) that we would still be at Trotters next year. Yes, in light of tryouts starting up, it would be nice to hear the field plan. Acys keeps telling us more about our fields than our own club!

ACYS is telling you about your fields, but not as a service to FCA families. They are using it as a scare tactic. Even if ACYS is awarded the full park, which they don't need, FCA will be using half of Trotter's next year, unless they can arrange for something better. With that, and the XL fields, the club will have more space than this year. Ignore the ACYS propaganda, and relax. There are alternate plans if they become necessary, but none of those include moving everyone to Apopka.

Am I the only one that got the letters saying we have moved to Apopka? It was sent out last night.

Actually Acys is telling their own people and word gets to us through them; remember that some of us are them too as we have kids in both. We've heard that the winning bidder is not going to be allowed to split the park. Please tell us about the "something better" option as that would be great to know. There are some nice school fields around or even Sylvan. And really Apopka is not that far to go for a nice park. We just want to hear something official from the club so we can answer questions. Are we still fighting for Trotters and going to WP and Apopka like that club email said, or is there something else?

Graham is a ridiculous mess! His propaganda machine (was the kid a marketing major?) puts out so much material! It is so thick that it is hard to wade through.

And how about some bios with those coaches? Except for SB and two others, it is a shot in the dark. Have to trust them on it when their turn over is so high! (Their "longest serving coach" has only been there 5 years!!??!! according to the coaching announcement.

This is why TS is such a great read, complete made up rumors and inaccuracies. Take this from somebody that knows the ACTUAL truth:

1. There is no partnership, merger or loans between XL and FCA/FPS
2. XL is completely self funded and kudos to them for that.
3. With 4 facilities on the East coast they are not stupid enough to be anything other than completely neutral in the youth market
4. Their "flawed" business model has now allowed them to build two more fields all self-funded.
5. I called up and asked if anybody could rent the fields once they are complete and the answer was "there's no set date for that project but once they are done, yes they are open to anybody that wants to rent them"

Looking forward to the fact-less "I know somebody who told me..." Responses!!

Of course they are open to anybody that wants to rent them!! It is a business!! And it is just like Lake Island or Ward or any other park. As long as someone, or some other club, has not rented the space in the time/day you need then they will rent to you.

So it is just finding who can come out to the fields from 8am to 3pm M-F during the school year when they are available!

The fields will be open to ALL clubs, so yes as soon as they are ready all clubs will be able to book field space. First come first served basis!
