Stars kids have done well at the college level. Like Nefc, Scorps, or SSS, the ones that find the right fit do well. Those that are unrealistic, and aim too high, suffer

BTW - YYVN was not a Stars player. She (and her crazy mother) showed up 1 spring and acted as if she was there to save the day. What an incredible diva. She refused to engage her teammates in any way, got pissed when she wasn't starting and playing 80 minutes, and was soon off to her next team (4 in 4 years?). Good riddance: tough to play against but even harder to play with. It's no surprise that she couldn't get on the field at BC.

you waited this long to post this? Why? Just leave the kid and family alone. I recall JD doing backflips when she played games for Stars.

LOL. What is it with girls soccer players and parents? Are they all psycho? Here's the thing: Soccer is a TEAM SPORT. 11 on the field. There is no place for divas or players who put themselves above their teammates.

As a coach, I will take the mid-level roster player who fits in well socially and tactically and plays team-based soccer over the diva impact player who pisses her teammates off and makes poor decisions tactically because their parents are constantly telling them to be ball-hogs and show how good they really are when in reality they can't figure out when to release the damn ball.

Thanks Coach. Why the f are you in a soccer blog instead of watching film? There are mid-level coaches as well.

Just so you understand, parents like you ruin the soccer experience for their kids. It’s obvious through the whole recruiting process and your kid graduating HS (you know, turning 18 and being an adult), you learned nothing. Your kid should have been driving this, not you.

It’s your kid’s life, not yours. Maybe if you had allowed your kid to make some mistakes along the way and learn from them, you wouldn’t be where you are now... still trying to clean up messes created by your over-involvement.

I personally was never impressed, but it didn’t take much to impress the BC coaching staff during those days as long as the player had a bad attitude. So did she transfer or just quit?

Are you saying coaches were impressed by a player with a bad attitude?

Looks like she just quit. She has a linked in profile that lists her as a BC student and a former varsity soccer player at BC.

You took the time to look up her profile? That isn't creepy at all.
